Polluted Streams Merging

There is a youtube video up from the IHOP revival meetings where Mike Bickle is joined by John and Carol Arnott from Toronto, and Bill and Beni Johnson of Bethel in Redding CA.  Everyone is cheering and Bickle is claiming that the three streams are merging.  It reminded me of Nero fiddling while Rome burned! 

Let’s not forget that Arnott and Johnson were there on the platform last year, anointing fallen false “profit”  Todd Bentley …… and they are the purveyors of much apostacy and false teaching.       Beni Johnson is joining the lunatic new mystics John Crowder and Ben Dunn in a woman’s conference in January called “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”.  Isn’t that nice!  No holiness or repentance for these guys, just more kundalini impartations !!   OH, and btw, you only get an impartation if you’re a partner!  Guess you have to pay for the pray!  

I also read yesterday that Loren Cunningham of YWAM was going to be a guest speaker at the One Thing conference…. helping to join the prayer movement with the “doing the stuff” movement.  So, there’s another stream joining this river of apostacy.

 In researching the NAR and the Latter Rain we find many  disturbing things and false doctrines (doctrines of demons) that have infiltrated the Church. 

Let me start with Freemasonry and its impact on Christianity….. and I am only scratching the surface here!)

IHOP’s connection to Harry Truman -  A 33rd degree Freemason whose portrait is hanging in the Scottish Rite Temple in Washington DC.

“In May of 1983, the Metro Vineyard conducted a 21-day fast. During that period of prayer and fasting, Bob Jones– a prophetic speaker from Arkansas not affiliated with Bob Jones University- revealed to Bickle that he would some day begin a 24-7 prayer ministry that would be linked to Harry Truman’s home. “You are an intercessor and a youth pastor,” Jones said in his prophecy to Bickle. “You will lead a worldwide youth movement of prophetic singers and musicians that God will use to touch Israel…You will have a ministry of intercession for Israel like Harry S Truman…The Lord will place you near his home as a prophetic sign.”

IHOP purchased President Truman’s portion of his family’s farm-the 125 acres across from Truman Corners Shopping Center-from the Goldberg family 50 years to the day that the Goldbergs purchased it from Truman himself………There is another connection between the group’s mission and Truman. The birth of the modern state of Israel has been seen by many Christians as a sign that the End Times foretold in the Scriptures were near at hand. Is IHOP tapping into a freemasonic spirit by aligning itself with Harry Truman?  One article I read said that Harry Truman only agreed to support the modern state of Israel because they gave him 2 million dollars and he needed money for his campaign. 

“In his book, “Jewish Religion – Jewish History,” Israel Shahak records that Harry Truman had been abandoned by everyone when he came to run for President. Then an American Zionist brought Truman $2 million dollars in cash in a suitcase aboard his whistle-stop campaign train.

Here is Mike Bickle telling the story in his own words:

Someone told me recently that a friend of theirs was in the prayer room at IHOP and saw a lot of people with masonic rings there at that time.  This person told me that they have confirmed that the late John Wimber, the founder of the Vineyard, was a freemason.  (he called the lodge and they confirmed it indirectly by saying “we can’t give out  information on our MEMBERS!) 

Dave Clausen, who was with Grace Fellowship from the time of that 21 day fast until May 200, states in his testimony (found here)

“……they (Bickle and the KC “prophets”) became the major reintroducers and popularizers of Latter Rain, Manifested Sonship and Restoration/Dominion ideas back into the Church world, whether they or anyone else understand what that means or not.  As a result, they over time actually became part of a wide-spread and majority network of false prophets in the Body of Christ that continues to this hour.”

John Wimber was highly connected to Mike Bickle in the early days of the Kansas City Fellowship and it was a Vineyard Church at that time.  John Wimber taught at Fuller Institute with C. Peter Wagner and has greatly influenced the likes of Bill Johnson and Mike Bickle.  The Toronto Airport Fellowship was also a Vineyard church when the signs and wonders movement broke out there in the 1990’s. 

One of Wimbers mentors was Robert Schuller (also a freemason http://www.geocities.com/endtimedeception/robert.htm ) of the “positive confession”, who has also had a great influence on emerging church members ….. see this

Wimber was also connected to Bill McCartney of the Promise Keepers:

 

“Because of his Latter-Rain beliefs, Paul Cain was received in 1987 as a great leader by Mike Bickle, Bob Jones, and the others in the Kansas-City leadership…at about the same time that John Wimber, founder of Vineyard, was connecting with them. Then Cain prophesied that stadiums the world over would be filled with Christians en route to building “Joel’s Army,” and wouldn’t you know it, that almost suddenly Bill McCartney from the Vineyard church in Boulder, Colorado, started preaching to stadiums filled with Christian men en route to building Promise Keepers!!! Clearly, the agenda to fill stadiums came before the prophecy, and the prophecy was then uttered expressly to initiate the agenda. It was uttered again in 2001 to reinforce the agenda.

You can deduce the world-conquest mission of Promise Keepers in that its leadership has gone to bed with the Vatican. Moreover, PK officials have in the past invited members of Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam to participate in their rallies (what kind of Christians could they be???). ecumenism is the word here!  Other associates of Bickle are Bob Jones (also exposed for sexaul sin), Bobby Conner, John Paul Jackson and Jack Deere and Todd Bentley who led the Lakeland “Revival” and committed adultery and got re-married to his nanny. 

 

It is important to understand that one of the  big goals of this movement is ecumenicism.   According to one of my contacts who was close to Mike Bickle in the early days, Mike is very eccumenical and friendly toward Catholics and he tells me that IHOP has become more and more monastic.   Mike Bickle also teaches contemplative prayer and sells 32 books on that subject in the Forerunner bookstore.  Many of these books are written by the ancient catholic mystics.

which mentions Jacob Boehme, who was the German Kabbalist / Theosophist whose writings were translated to English and who influenced Jane Leade (an English mystic/ christian), the Philidelphia Society, and also George Fox of the Quakers. (Interesting to note that John Wimber started out his ministry in the Quakers).    The Latter Rain based what was going on in Canada in the late 1940’s on Jane Leade’s prophecies.  This was proven by my friend who contacted George Warnock and asked him and who confirmed this as true.

 

  

Ultimately, Sophia is just a more modern form of the Queen of Heaven, having come out of the Greek pantheon. 

 

“There are several female Deities that can lay claim to the title Christian goddess.  Mary, the Mother of Jesus/Yeshua,  first comes to mind. There is Mary Magdalene the “Goddess in the Gospels” the Church refused to acknowledge as the wife of Yeshua and probably co-Messiah. “Mary” is a Greek pronunciation of the Hebrew name Miriam or Miriamne. There are many theories about this name, such as Mary might not even be a name, but a title meaning Priestess of Goddess.

 

So the bottom line is that what we have going on today in many so called Christian circles is NOT true Biblical Christianity but a mixture of ancient kabbalistic teachings mingled with Christian doctrine.  The whole signs and wonders camp is filled with this …… it’s a virus that has been resurrected from the past and repackaged as something new. 

 

Many theologians and scholars believe the Holy Spirit written as, Pneuma in Greek everytime it appears in the New Testament, is a feminine being.  Note that Pneuma is a neuter word in Greek, but in Hebrew the word Ruah (Spirit) and in Aramaic the word Shekinah (Presence) are feminine words and imply a feminine divine presence.  The Holy Spirit is possibly a Christian Goddess, not a mysterious invisible member of an all-male Trinity “club.”  Or more provocatively, maybe there is a Feminine Trinity of God-the-Mother (Sophia and Mary?), God-the-Daughter (Mary Magdalene) and Goddess-the-Spirit-Presence (Shekinah, Ruah). The Holy Spirit appears at Yeshua’s baptism in the form of a dove.  The dove has long been a symbol of the Goddess in the Ancient Near East, and was never used to symbolize any male Being or God.” http://www.northernway.org/goddess.html

Interestingly, Paul Keith Davis’ ministry is called “White Dove“.  Davis is a close associate of Bob Jones and says this on his web site:

“WhiteDove Ministries was founded August 11, 1995 by Paul Keith and Wanda Davis. At the beginning of 1995, Bob Jones had prophesied that dual storms were going to strike the U.S. with prophetic significance. Although he had seen the two distinct major storms, he was unclear as to the location of their landfall. During the latter part of that year during late July and early August, we were hosting a prophetic roundtable meeting at our home in Orange Beach, AL, approximately 18 miles west of Pensacola. Several respected prophetic voices were in attendance including Bob Jones, Bobby Conner, Rick Joyner and others. Our meeting was interrupted by a hurricane that entered the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane Erin came ashore on August 3, 1995 with the eye passing directly over our home. Following Erin, hurricane Opal also struck the same area in October 1995 fulfilling the prophetic revelation of dual storms highlighting a corporate season of significant spiritual emphasis.

 

 

Eight days after Erin, on August 11, a beautiful white dove landed on our balcony. Uniquely, it remained although it was apparent that it was not domesticated. We clearly heard the Lord speaking to us involving this sign as an indication of the “Dove Company” who will emerge in this generation possessing hearts desperate for intimacy with Jesus. This poster is for an upcoming conference and puts together all that I have been  saying.  This picture is symbolic of Hieros Gamos…. the temple marriage or divine union.   First of all as noted earlier Sophia’s symbol is a dove, so it is no accident that this ministry’s name is “white dove”.  The bride (sophia… wisdom) is dressed in white, but she has the sword in her hand.  Notice that her hand on the shaft of the sword and that it looks like a phallic symbol.  The top of the shaft is actually piercing the word “HER” in the lettering.  The first part of the word is IN HER where the sword’s phallic is penetrating.  (sorry to be so graphic).  I believe that the enemy is saying that he is planning to POSSESS the BRIDE.  This is very blatant temple worship of the Babylonian mystery schools and NOT Biblical Christianity. 

This connection to wisdom/sophia is what is behind contemplative prayer (connecting to the god within!)  and the whole bridal paradigm of IHOP and Mike Bickle…… “passion for Jesus”, and being married to Jesus, intimacy with Jesus,  (hieros gamos, the sacred marriage to the divine) ….. bringing the practicioner into a state of “ecstacy with God”  (ie; the likes of John Crowder of the “new” mystics)…. It’s a sick and convoluted interpretation of the truth.   This is what Mike Bickle and friends are really promoting…. a false gospel and a false Jesus.

Roots of the NAR and NOLR: Jane Leade & The Philadelphian Society

“[The New Apostolic Reformation] belief that “God is restoring the office of Apostles and Prophets.” … can be traced to the “1679 Prophecy” by the occult Christian Kabbalist sect called the Philadelphian Society. The Philadelphians believed in the Kabbalah doctrine of “Gilgul” or the Transmigration of souls. They believed that the souls of ancient Israel would reincarnate into their genetic descendants, which include to souls of the *original* apostles and prophets.

Mike Bickle, Bob Weiner, John Wimber, Bill Hamon, Rick Joyner, C. Peter Wagner and all the many Latter Rain “Apostles and Prophets” get their “Apostolic Authority” through doctrines of reincarnation and it is because of this that *ALL* of the Latter Rain “Apostles and Prophets” can be rightly labeled “occult” in both senses of the word i.e. 1) hidden and 2) inherently evil.

Classic Latter Rain doctrine, including fasting [is propogated through IHOP]. The young IHOP participants/members are indoctrinated and then “married to Jesus” en masse through Bridal Mysticism rites carried out in their large and frequent gatherings named “The Call”, “OneThing”, “Friends of the Bridegroom FOTB” Prophetic and apostolic training.

What Bickle, Joyner and the rest of the Latter Rain leaders are quite about is that they believe they are the “Corporate Christ” or “Many-Membered Manchild” and that the 10s of 1000s of youth who have already gone under the “Bridal Canopy” to be “Married to Jesus” have unwittingly been theosophically tricked into marrying the leaders themselves!!!! Now you know what these people really mean by “elected-seed.”

Just like the classic Greek Mystery Schools of old, including Freemasonry, Rosicrucians and Mormons, the New Apostolic Reformation NAR needs warm bodies to carry forth their New World Order NWO and they are duping an entire generation with classic Christian Kabbalah doctrines and practices.

I will give a bit more info to clarify what I stated using the lens of chronology and language of the New Order of the Latter Rain Revival of 1947-1953 that became what C. Peter Wagner et al. repackaged today the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) led by the Int’l Coalition of Apostles. BTW, I must say that these people have laid down a framework and are intentionally moving in a direction that mirrors that of their Philadelphian Society (PS) predecessors. I am seeing this from the vantage point of history. All on has to do to see this is to go to a Big Ten campus library that has the Eighteenth Century Online (ECO) database and download the PDFs of two PS documents. There are many more that expose the history of the PS, but the following two are a good primer to see how it all relates using their own words:

Starting my research into the NOLR in 1999, my curiosity of the peculiar language and meaning of terms led me to the hypotheses that somehow the leaders had tapped into the Philadelphian Society writings. Since becoming a Christian in 1975 starting with the Charismatic movement, I’d never heard phrases like, “Manifest Sons of God”, “Corporate Christ”, “Elected-Seed Generation”, “Many-Membered Manchild” etc. etc. Mike Bickle is only one leader of many who have promoted teachings using these terms for well over 20-years. I mean really, you don’t have to go to Harvard to see YouTube videos showing Mike Bickle and his Kansas City Prophet buddies Paul Cain and Bob Jones.

“We also invite you to join us at KCF’s Grandview Worship Center at 6:00 p.m., February 4, for a special birthday celebration of Bob Jones’ 60th birthday. John Wimber and Paul Cain will be special quests at this evening.” p.95.

Mike Bickle glorifying Bob Jones:

MB: “…But Bob Jones comes again and says, ‘One of my missions in this whole supernatural thing is to convince you it’s real…things won’t be secure until you believe that. You’ll be prone to do this or that or the other that will end up being contrary to this movement if you do not understand that something more than a local fellowship is being birthed…’ And the Lord speaks to us and says, ‘Repentance.’ And He speaks audibly to Bob Jones Psalms 130, that He’d
forgiven us.” (OPH, p. 11, 19)

As mentioned previously, it is also an annual event for Mike to interview Bob Jones for hours upon hours regarding his visions and mystical experiences.

MB: “So a period of time left, and he (Bob Jones) comes back to his body and he’s standing–well, he’s not in his body, it’s kind of like Howard Pitman, he’s still hovering over his body in the room, just like anybody who has an out-of-body experience like that. . .And it’s amazing, almost anybody with a true prophetic ministry is, that’s going to be of a high level, has had visitations in their childhood that were staggering… (P.His 2, p. 6) p. 99-100.

Bickle, Jones and Cain on the “Elected-Seed Generation”:

PROPHETS AND PROPHESYING
Mike Bickle and Kansas City Fellowship’ s promotion of the prophetic ministry and so-called “prophets” is fraught with error and deception. It is damaging to the lives of many individuals, and spiritually dangerous.
A. THE COMMON REVELATION of the so-called “prophets” of Kansas City Fellowship is that KCF is the start of an end-tine ‘new breed” generation that these prophets have seen in visions and revelations before coming to KCF.
1. KCF’S “CHIEF PROPHETS” ALL PROCLAIM THE KCF END-TIME GENERATION.

MB: “But Bob and John Paul and Paul Cain and others have seen a generation not where there’d be a 2-year anointing, but the spirit would be a permanent abiding of the Spirit in the anointing of God in a pure way…” (VM, p. 4) p.116

So where do these people get this peculiar terminology and what do they mean?

After doing a word search, I discovered that the terminology and meaning stem from the writings of the Philadelphian Society. This was around 2001. But, I had to eliminate accusations of the “Genetic Fallacy” and/or cries of “Guilt by Association” but how? I decided to contact the original leaders of the 1948-1953 North Battleford Revival (if they were still alive…). Here’s the three major proofs I came up with:

1) I wrote George H. Warnock an open letter regarding Jacob Boehme and Jane Lead. His written response was that he never heard of Jacob Boehme but he became familiar with the writings of Jane Lead and he believed they were prophetic for the End Times church. So far I’m batting a 1000, but I’m getting creeped out bigtime. I ask God, “What have I discovered? What is this stuff?”

2) I discovered that Benny Hinn and his brothers Henry and Sam are also Latter Rain by virtue of their writings and language. This was 2002. Another early leader was George Robert Hawtin, one of the original “Sharon Brethren” in North Battleford. Though he died sometime in the 90s, he had a newsletter called The Page from about 1962-1984. One of his followers republished the articles as a 34-volume set that were at one time free for the asking. Volume 9 contains extensive quotes from Jacob Boehme and the infamous “1619 Prophecy” attributed to an unknown prophet. The reason Hawtin didn’t know this was from Jane Lead was because by the time he was given a copy of this prophetic declaration, the “7″ was mistranslated as a “1″ and since Lead was born in 1623, it couldn’t have been written by her, or so they thought until the error was discovered some years later. BTW, this prophecy came down from the effects of an English freemason-turned-evangelist name Charles Sydney Price.

3) After the original Canadian-based Latter Rain Revival waned down around 1952-53, it splintered as most movements do. A minister named John Robert Stevens in rebellion to God’s warning, continued the NOLR teachings and formed the Church of the Living Word (CLW). They published an extraordinary amount of Latter Rain teachings in the form of teaching tapes and booklets before Stevens died in 1983. Many of Steven’s disciples back in the 70s and 80s are today’s NAR leaders. Bob and Rose Weiner, Rick Joyner, Francis Frangipane, etc. all came out of the CLW aka “The Walk.” One of Stevens’ “Apostles” was Royal DeWayne Cronquist (1929-1998]. Cronquist laid hands to “impart the anointing” into Bob Weiner’s mind and body on Thanksgiving Day 1967 –five years before he started Maranatha in 1972. Just a few years later, Weiner linked up with the Fab 5 i.e. Mumford, Simpson, Basham, Baxter, Prince and spiritually, economically, and psychologically force-raped 10s of 1000s of college students by using the Fab 5’s religious scheme of “Discipleship/Shepherding.”

Back to “Apostle Cronquist” in 2004, I obtained his writings and books. In one journal he explodes with spiritual exuberance that Jane Lead’s “1679 Prophecy” was meant for him to be an Apostle. Here’s a few revealing excerpts from “Epistles of the Kingdom Unto Royal by the Holy Spirit, 4th ed.” pp. 59-62, (circa 1980s)

EPISTLE 155 – 1985 A PROPHECY GIVEN IN 1679

This prophecy was found in the papers of Brother Charles S. Price after his death. It was written by a 16th century Scribe-Prophetess named Jane Leade, and came into my hands when I was about a year old in Christ [1959]. I bear powerful witness in my spirit to the validity of it’s words.

For the past thirty-two years I have ordered my motivations, attitudes and commitments to do God’s will, including the prophecy’s sayings within my heart with hope. I have added the validating Scriptures, to authenticate it’s verity. The attending anointing of the Holy Spirit revealed the correct Scriptures to add, calling them into remembrance (JN 14:26).

All the added Scripture references are in parentheses. You will have to concentrate and dig out the confirmation of this prophecy in the Scriptures for understanding, but it will be worth your while. Also, I have taken the liberty in God, to add my own commentary remarks and observations in brackets. My prayer is that as you read this prophecy, the Spirit of God will quicken to you it’s relevance and connection to the time we now live in – for it speaks of this generation, not of another.

THE PROPHECY

There shall be a full redemption of Christ (an anointed Corporate Son) (JN 17:18; 20:21; PS 2:1-2; RE 11:1-5). This is a hidden mystery (not to be revealed or understood without the revelation workings of the Holy Spirit) (EP 1:17-18]. The Holy Spirit is at hand to reveal the same to whosoever will be holy seekers and inquirers (JE 29:11-14a; 33:3; HE 11:6).

The completion of such redemption is withheld and abstracted by the Seals of Revelation (RE 5:1). Wherefore, the Spirit of God shall open up seal after seal, so that this redemption can come to be revealed, both particularly and universally (1 PE 1:3-5). In the gradual opening of the eternal, infinite, progressive mysteries of this redemption, does consist the unsearchable Wisdom of God, Who throughout eternity will continually reveal new and fresh things to the worthy seeker (JN 16:12; JE 33:3).

In order to which the Ark of the Testimony in heaven (Jesus), shall be opened before the end of the age. The living (Inchristed) testimony (the perfected Bride/Sons people, Remnant Body of believers on earth) (EP 4:13c, 15; HE 6:1 kj; MT 5:48; RE 19:7; RO 8:19; 9:25-27; 8:29-30; HE 2:10-11), shall be unsealed (revealed and manifested) (RE 6:1; RO 8:19). The Incarnate Presence of the Divine Ark (Jesus completed within) (COL 2:10a), will constitute the life of this Virgin Church.

Wherever this (perfected remnant) Body is (RO 9:27), there must, of necessity, be the Divine Ark (Jesus completed within) (COL 1:15-19; 2:9-10a; EP 4:13, 15; 3:19; 2:5b-6; 1:17-20; JN 17:18; 20:21; 1 JN 2:6; 4:17; 1 PE 2:21). The unsealing of this living testimony (those believers who have risen into His overcoming perfection) (RE 1:7, 11, 17, 26-27; 3:5, 12, 21), this side of death and the Tribulation (RE 2:11, 26-27), being those co-equal Sons (JN 17:18; 14:12; RO 8:17; RE 2:26-27; 3:21) with the Latter Glory (HAG 2:9; IS 60:1-22). These (Bride/sons) must begin the promulgation (announce, proclaim, instruct) of the Everlasting Gospel (RE 14:6).

The proclamation of this testimony (Jesus incarnate within these Sons brethren) (RO 8:29-30; HE 2:10-11), will be as the sounding of a trumpet, to alarm the nations of all professed Christendom (JL 2:1-11; 1:5-17; ZEP 1:14-18; 2:1-3; PS 2:1-12; RE 19:11-15; 17:14; 2:7, 11, 17, 26-27; 3:5, 12, 21).

Authority will be given by Christ Jesus to put an end to all controversies (of doctrines, revelations and eschatologies, of attitudes and motives, of all unsanctified, and unforgiven, unrepented, of unholy, frayed relationships) concerning the true Church, which is to be born of the true Jerusalem Mother (IS 66:5, 7-8 kj/nas; RE 12:1-2; 3:12; 21:2-3, 9d-10; MT 5:14).

His (Jesus – their Qualifier) decision will be the actual, literal sealing of the Remnant (RO 9:25-27) out from the universal Body of Christ (RE 12:1-2, 5; PS 2:1-9; IS 6:5-8 kj/nas; 3:13-20; EZK 9:4; RE 7:3; 14:1 kj/nas) by God Himself, giving them commission to act by that same authority (OBD 21; PS 149:5-9; IS 24:1-6; JE 51:19-23; JUDE 14-15; MIC 1:15; JN 17:18; 5:27; 8:26, 28de, 16, 29; 4:34; 6:38; 14:12; AC 3:20-23).

So, by 2004, I proved beyond beyond any shadow of doubt that several pioneer leaders of the NOLR from which C. Peter Wagner derived his NAR/ICA entity had hardcopies of the 1679 Prophecy from the Philadelphian Society and they all embraced it like it came directly from the Throne room of Almighty God. So far, so good. The final part of my investigation involved the following questions:

Q1: If these early NOLR leaders embraced and taught the doctrines of Philadelphian Society’s “1679 Prophecy” then what did the PS mean in historical context. In other words,

Q2: Who was Jane Lead and who were the rest of the members of the Philadelphian Society?

Q3: What did they believe and in what context?

Q4: How do their writings compare with those of the Latter Rain leaders?

Q5: Are the 20th-century Latter Rain leaders carrying out the doctrines and objectives that were started by the 17-Century Philadelphian Society and if so, then wouldn’t it behoove all NAR/ICA researchers to learn as much as they possible can about the Philadelphian Society so as to decode the bizarre and deadly doctrines and practices being carried out now?

The answers to these questions were historically hard to learn and come by since I had to somehow obtain primary source documents from the 16th and 17th century. In an answer to prayer, I obtained a research partner.

In the mean time, I started to witness that all of the expose’s and lessons learned on this deadly movement were being forgotten by the victims of the 1970s and 1980. They simply were not being passed on to this current generation who, like youth in other generations, couldn’t care less about history. The very same NOLR leaders and their mind-controlled disciples were now zeroing-in on today’s youth and had only changed the names of the very same doctrines and practices to hide their past history. In one sense, this is good since I realized these cult leaders are like a broken record or a repeating message machine. They cannot break out of their heresies. The Lord has literally trapped them in their own doctrines and save for divine intervention, they simply cannot escape. The are like a vortex straight to the Lake of Fire and are sucking 10’s of 1000s into hell with Todd Bentley and the Lakeland Revival being a recent example.

I am making the original claim that by understanding who that Philadelphian Society was and more importantly, what is the hybrid religious belief system of Christian Kabbalah, one can understand the bizarre anti-Christian beliefs of the New Order of the Latter Rain (NOLR), Wagner’s NAR/ICA and forward into the new United Stated Apostolic Alliance now headed up by the illustrious “Dr.” Dutch Sheets!!!!

Of course, there are no new heresies since the 4th century, but this particular one is a very clever amalgam that has been little understood since the 17th century.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I chose the scholastic route of research and that meant spending long hours studying the history surrounding the time of the Philadelphians. Knowing the lives of the “Sharon Brethren” North Battleford, Saskatchewan at the end of WWII, I can safely say these young naive men opened Pandora’s Box because they simply did not have the capacity for historical research. They simply looked toward the dawning of a new age where war would cease in God’s promise of the outpouring of a Latter Rain that had been pumped up in writings and sermons from the 1909 Azusa Street revival and through WWII. The Second Latter Rain Movement that embraced these occult writings is what we are witnessing today.

Jeremiah didn’t have to die in vain if Christians take back what the Latter Rain leaders have stolen. Dutch Sheets and all the rest look like they will go to hell, but those who can re-embrace God’s Truth and reject the Latter Rain’s central lie that, “God is restoring the office of apostles and prophets” can be granted forgiveness and obtain healing.

Biblical apologetics must be combined with a thorough understanding of the occult history of the Latter Rain occult movement.

The whole religious belief system of British Israelism includes the “Protestant” Philadelphian Society doctrines. Jane Lead and her followers are premier spokesmen. When JL speaks forward the doctrines of the Manifestation of Christ upon the Earth in the Nazarite Sons and Daughters of God” she is summing up a series of doctrines including spiritual alchemy, astrology, Kabbalah, hermeticism etc. that also mirrors Rosicrucian doctrine. I have good reason to believe that at least some of the PS members were Rosicrucians in the fullest sense of the word. The PS as well as their 21st-century Word-of-Faith and NOLR followers are promoting and practicing all the Rosicrucian beliefs in one form or another however cleverly they are wrapped in Christian terminology. Just as Rabbis who tell us there are four levels of interpreting scripture that result in “levels” or difference definitions for the same terms used in scripture, the leaders of the NOLR can express an outwardly orthodox Christian Gospel while simultaneously believe and practice the Gospel using the Kabbalah and hermetic doctrines as interpretive lenses. This is one of the main reasons why these people are able to appear as “angels of light” and evil manifests through them as well. Questioning the leaders as to the meaning of biblical terms they use is what they cannot stand.

The writings of Jane Lead and the rest of the PS members spells out exactly what they mean and why they believed it. That Chuck Pierce, C. Peter Wagner, Robert Heidler, Barbara Wentroble and many others are teaching Christian Kabbalah in conferences such as Glory of Zion Ministries: Starting the Year Off Right” Conference on Jan. 2-6, 2008 in Denton, TX shows they are finally coming out of the closet with what they formerly hid during the formation of their theosophical enterprise that now has evolved using grandiose titles such as the United States Apostolic Alliance (USAA) “The Next Phase of the [Reincarnated] Apostolic Reformation.”

Knowing full well that the Sharon Brethren and others that formed an entire movement on Rosicrucian and British Israel doctrines stemming from embracing occult Kabbalist doctrines of Reincarnation, namely, Gilgul and Tikkun Olam, just amazes me.

Doesn’t God state that he will bless or curse a nation based upon what they do with His Son’s offer of redemption as in II Chron 7:14 as well as turning from their wicked ways? I believe He does and if He does, then Wagner, Sheets, Weiner, Broocks, Hamon, Joyner, Bickle, etc. are bringing down the USA by causing Christians to submit themselves to leaders who embraced the occult doctrine of reincarnation!! We get one chance in life to respond to the message of the Cross. We don’t have the past souls of Israel transmigrating in our bodies to fulfill yet another chance at “perfection.”

Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and not the temples of the souls of the original Apostles and Prophets that transmigrated through time and subsequently into our bodies. These hidden beliefs are what is behind British Israelism, Mormonism, Freemasonry and the New Order of the Latter Rain as formed through the North Battleford Saskatchewan Revival circa 1947-1953. We certainly are supposed to treat our bodies with respect and never tattoo our skin and make ourselves a human Talisman such as NOLR leader Todd Bentley. We are never to submit to any leader who not only holds to occult doctrines, but also are sexual perverts such as Roberts Liardon, Todd Bentley, Ted Haggard, Paul Cain, Reuven Doron, Bob Jones, and many, many others within the Unholy Alliance of these illuminatti groups that have now infected the churches. Our very survival as a nation will depend on whether we accept or reject cries for a New World Order from the likes of Henry Kissinger, etc.

We can say that John was indeed a forerunner for Jesus Christ.
We can also say that Madame Guyon and Zinzendorf were also forerunners, but for a hybrid antichrist that was developed during renaissance-era Europe and imported into North America. This history behind the belief system that Guyon and Zinzendorf endorsed is well-documented in many history books. That NOLR leaders re-animate the original quests and objectives of Guyon, Leade, Zinzendorf, Beissel, Kelpius, etc. as they played out their utopian communities in America should provide a blatant expectation that the NAR/ICA will fail is the very same spectacular manner as did the originators.

God expects Christians to use historical studies to identify and counteract the theosophical infection that these occult leaders have brought in. We can actually use this as an opportunity to demonstrate the power and grace of the Word coupled with a full history to eliminate all conjectures that we are dealing with an identifier stream of the occult. The treatment is exposing the history of their forerunners in identifying their occult practices and objectives. This will simultaneously expose the longterm occult doctrines and practices. All the hard work; the research, has already been done.

Your going to have to get beyond the metaphysical however. Yes, there are indeed powers, principalities and spiritual wickedness bound up in the mix, but the Bible tells us that it is the “Doctrines of Demons” that provide the demons a place within the minds, hearts and communities of these Christian Kabbalists. You’ve already seen the video confirmation in numerous places where NOLR leaders like Chuck Pierce, C. Peter Wagner, Barbara Wentroble and dozens of others leade their congregants into physical actions based upon a Christian Kabbalist interpretation of the beginning of entering into a New Age. Their 2008 Denton, Texas meeting “Starting the Year off Right” shows that the NOLR/NAR admit they believe the Kabbalah is divinely-inspired and equal to the Bible. Their actions speaks louder than words.

Summary

Central questions that already have been answered:

1) For the Christian, is the Kabbalah a divinely-inspired set of writings from with to spiritually and practically embrace i.e. for doctrine and practice? If so, why? If not, and they are embraced, what are the consequences?

2) Can the doctrines and practices that the NOLR/NAR promotes be historically identified with those leaders/spiritual heros that they embrace? If so, what are the consequences?

3) Is the Christ of the NOLR/NAR the same Christ of the Bible, or is their Christ really the Adam Kadmon of the Lurian Kabbalah coupled with the mysterious fourth part of the Godhead known as “Wisdom Sophia” as identified by Jacob Boehme, Jane Leade, Count von Zinzendorf, etc. etc.?

Sexual Metaphysics

By the time Zinzendorf established the Fetter Lane mission, he was convinced that the mysticism of the Jewish cabala—the esoteric reading of the Jewish holy books—could bring Jews and Christians as well as Catholics and Protestants together. His belief that followers of different faiths could unite in a common piety chimed in many ways with Masonic notions of universal brotherhood and a common belief in a Supreme Being, and it certainly resonated with the Rosicrucian ethos. His epiphany in Dusseldorf concerning Christ’s carnal nature seemed to prime him for cabalistic notions of what we can call “sexual metaphysics.” According to the cabalists, the unmanifest source of creation, in the Ein Sof, performed an act of love when “He” manifested his essence in the male and female emanations that make up the ten sephiroth, or “vessels,” of the Tree of Life. The sexual polarities expressed in the different sephiroth lead from the Godhead to the material world, and in meditating on their combinations—usually through visualizing the letters of the Hebrew alphabet as male and female figures in various sexual positions—the cabalist can unite the emanations and trigger a vision of the androgynous source of things. But this unifying vision wasn’t reached via inward meditation alone; as in forms of Tantric spirituality, sex itself was a means of both unifying the opposites and of mirroring the original act of creation.

As in spiritual alchemy, for the cabala, in sexual union, the male and female overcome the rifts in the fallen world and achieve an ecstasy that echoes the original unity of being. Likewise, the climax of intercourse, when the male explodes into the female, echoes the Godhead’s original emanation of the sephiroth, which gave birth to the cosmos—a rather different take on the big bang. God himself has sex, the cabalists believe, in the cosmic lovemaking he enjoys with his Shekinah, his female emanation, Zinzendorf Christianized this cabalistic holy marriage and declared that the Holy Spirit was feminine, the Mother of Christ. Sex wasn’t sinful and degrading, as the Church preached; for the cabalists it was perhaps the most important part of religious life—provided, of course, that one’s spiritual intention, one’s kawanah, remained pure and didn’t sink into mere carnal satisfaction, an accusation that, understandably, Zinzendorf and his followers had to face on more than one occasion.

There are consequences with Mike Bickle, Rick Joyner and the rest of the NOLR leaders modeling themselves after Rosicrucian leader Count von Zinzendorf and his vision for a utopian society in Moravian Falls. There are numerous eyewitness testimonies from followers successfully escaping the occult trappings from the IHOP compound in Kansas City and the MorningStar Moravian compounds in North Carolina.

The adepts under the Christian Kabbalah mesmerizing spell are led to visualize themselves as being married to Christ, but upon further investigation, Tens of thousands of youth are being made formed into a “Bride” where the leaders are the “Bridegroom” in a magical act of psychical and sexual theurgy. They claim to hear directly from the Holy Spirit through their many apostles and prophets and undershepherds. If they really did, then the following questions demand answers:

1) If the Holy Spirit was really present at IHOP and MorningStar, then why didn’t He tell IHOP leaders Nick and Rebecca Candler to “Feed your baby!!!!”? Does Bickle play this off as some sort of “Test from God” or what? This act of starving their newborn baby Jeremiah was not only murder at IHOP, but also speaks volumes about the real spirit behind the entire NOLR/NAR movement. Because they continue to draw from their 17th century occult sources, we can only expect to see even more people die – both spiritually and physically – as time goes on. History shows this is the inevitable penalty for embracing the occult.

2) “As in spiritual alchemy, for the cabala, in sexual union, the male and female overcome the rifts in the fallen world and achieve an ecstasy that echoes the original unity of being.” If the Holy Spirit were really present at IHOP in Kansas City and other IHOP boiler room compounds around the country, why wasn’t there any prophetic warnings when Bob Jones sexually molested women in an attempt at sexual theurgy? Why didn’t IHOP and MorningStar’s Holy Spirit warn the congregants that Paul Cain, Reuven Doron, Todd Bentley and others were sexual deviates? Are you really convinced that these supposed “leaders” can be rehabilitated after Joyner tells them to go through a “restoration process” with “Apostle” Larry Alberts in Minneapolis and then afterwards to continue spreading their Spiritually Transferable Disease (STD) aka the “Anointing” to 1000s more youth all under the pretext of “Revival”??

3) What new “spiritual positions” will Bickle, Joyner, Haggard, Wagner, Sheets, Hamon, Jones, Cain, Jacobs, Cocking, Broocks, Murrell, Weiner, etc. engage their followers in with their ongoing quest toward the birth of the “Many-membered Manchild” from the quasi-sexual union between the “Corporate Christ” and their corporate “Bride Company”??

If the starvation murder of baby Jeremiah Candler and homosexual activities of Paul Cain and Ted Haggard along with the sexual theurgies of Bob Jones are any indication of the prophetic future, then perhaps local law enforcement should stock up on handcuffs because they will soon need them…

AD 1727: COUNT ZINZENDORF AND THE MORAVIANS
Within two weeks of an unusual outpouring of the Holy Spirit, twenty-four men and twenty-four women covenanted to pray “hourly intercessions,” thus praying every hour around the clock. The community was committed to see that “the fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out” (Leviticus 6:13). This prayer meeting would go nonstop for the next one hundred years, and is seen by many as the spiritual power behind the impact that the Moravians had on the world.

Why I believe IHOP is a Cult by Ariel

The following is an excellent article written by someone with firsthand experience of the spiritual abuse that goes on at IHOP. 

Why I believe IHOP is a Cult

A cult? Strong word you might say…and you are correct. It is not a word I use lightly or carelessly to label anything. But much prayer, time and years of research and personal experience have brought me to the conclusion that I can say confidently that the root system–or foundation–that IHOP is built on follows the basic premises and signs of a cult religious group. When I first left IHOP, I went through a severe culture shock that is hard to put into words. When I began studying the signs of cult fallout and the things that cult members go through after leaving a cult, my eyes began to open to what I had been a part of and recently come out of.

Below I have listed some common signs of cult operation. Below them, I cite in RED text short examples of my personal experiences at IHOP which illustrates these particular signs in action. After 5 years of being out of IHOP, I still hold to my position that it is a dangerous place for people’s hearts and have seen much destruction of families, relationships and marriages of those who have been involved with this movement.

I appreciate your taking the time to read and prayerfully consider the research and personal testimony I’ve included below.

<!–[if !supportLists]–>1. <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult tends to be totalitarian in its control of its members’ behavior. Cults are likely to dictate in great detail not only what members believe, but also what members wear and eat, when and where members work, sleep, and bathe, and how members think, speak, and conduct familial, marital, or sexual relationships.

As an intern at IHOP, our day to day lives were closely monitored and dictated. I was not allowed to go anywhere or leave IHOP premises without express verbal permission from a community leader except on our one day off. Our schedules started early in the morning with hours in the prayer room, then classes, then back to the prayer room. Our nights often ran late with required attendance at EGS (Encounter God Services) or any other special event Mike spoke at that we were required to attend. Sometimes we had to attend worship sets that ended at 10 pm or midnight.  Sleep was minimal and was often un-restful when I did get it. Sleep deprivation is a commonly used tactic in many cult groups to weaken the mind and make a person more susceptible to the embracing of the doctrines taught by that cult. There are many biological and psychological effects of sleep deprivation on the mind.

<!–[if !supportLists]–>2. <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult tends to have an ethical double standard. Members are urged to be obedient to the cult, to carefully follow cult rules. They are also encouraged to be revealing and open in the group, confessing all to the leaders. On the other hand, outside the group they are encouraged to act unethically, manipulating outsiders or nonmembers, and either deceiving them or simply revealing very little about themselves or the group. In contrast to destructive cults, honorable groups teach members to abide by one set of ethics and act ethically and truthfully to all people in all situations.

Anyone who rebelled against IHOP’s rules went through a strict disciplinarian process. At its most minimal level of discipline, for an intern, this meant the loss of having a day off and having to do manual labor. Everyone was kept on a short leash. We also had weekly groups as interns that we were required to participate in where everyone was “interrogated” and pressured to open up and share their personal struggles, etc and answer personal questions about their lives, struggles, thoughts, fears, and walks with G-d. It often felt like going to some kind of confession (as in Catholocism) and some interns out and out refused to be so vulnerable and disclosing in front of people they did not know.  We were all given journals and told that we had mandatory writing assignments to complete. We were to record details of our IHOP prayer room times, things God spoke to us, dreams, visions, or whatever else that happened in us spiritually and then had to turn in our journals weekly to have an internship leader review/read them. In the last month or so I was at IHOP I paid particularly close attention to the fact that internship leaders ironically prayed things over me in prayer times or at the altar in the prayer room that related directly to things I had put in my journals. So what often might have seemed prophetic was the result of the information about me they already had access to.

<!–[if !supportLists]–>3. <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult has only two basic purposes: recruiting new members and fund-raising. Altruistic movements, established religions, and other honorable groups also recruit and raise funds. However, these actions are incidental to an honorable group’s main purpose of improving the lives of its members and of humankind in general. Destructive cults may claim to make social contributions, but in actuality such claims are superficial and only serve as gestures or fronts for recruiting and fund-raising. A cult’s real goal is to increase the prestige and often the wealth of the leader.

They were always an underlying pressure to bring people into IHOP. We were encouraged to invite others and get them to join what we were doing. IHOP campaigns big time to recruit new interns. At every conference, advertising and marketing videos are used to this day to promote the internships. They are played on large TV screens like presidential campaigns and are just part of the propaganda used to “sell” young people on this new version of what walking with God is supposed to look like.

Each intern paid $4,500 to attend a 6 month internship. This covered some books/teaching material we were given as well as food, lodging etc. Check this out though: Every intern lived in the Hernhutt apartments (located next door) which IHOP owned anyway so the only expense was utilities and general upkeep. There was no rent. Plus when there was a mandatory fasting day, weekend, week, etc. no meals were served. So those who didn’t choose to fast had to go out and buy food and no interns were not allowed to have jobs so this got to be a big expense since there wasn’t extra money to live on.

I lived in a 2-bedroom apartment. It housed 6 girls from the ages of 20-23. 4 of us shared one room and 2 shared another. The prayer room costs nothing to attend and is free and open to the public. So hmmm….$4,500 for meals, my electric bill and some IHOP books. I currently live in my own apartment, pay all of my own bills including rent, food, gasoline, renter’s insurance, credit card bills, student loans, electric, cell phone, etc etc and ALL of that costs me approximately $1,500 a month. So basic math says that someone was getting a big paycheck because my expenses would have never cost that in an internship program where we were given so little.

<!–[if !supportLists]–>4.  <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult appears to be innovative and exclusive. The leader claims to be breaking with tradition, offering something novel, and instituting the ONLY viable system for change that will solve life’s problems or the world’s ills. But these claims are empty and only used to recruit members who are then surreptitiously subjected to mind control to inhibit their ability to examine the actual validity of the claims of the leader and the cult.

In the time I was there Mike often used “them and us” types of statements when referring to “the church” or those outside of IHOP. We were given a sense of being on the “cutting edge” because we were ahead of the church and were doing something new & innovative that was going to sweep the world. It all sounded good so everyone wanted to be in on it as a “forerunner” and liked the label of being on the front lines. So no one dared questioned it.

<!–[if !supportLists]–>5. <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult is authoritarian in its power structure. The leader is regarded as the supreme authority. He or she may delegate certain power to a few subordinates for the purpose of seeing that members adhere to the leader’s wishes. There is no appeal outside his or her system to a greater system of justice. For example, if a schoolteacher feels unjustly treated by a principal, an appeal can be made to the superintendent. In a destructive cult, the leader claims to have the only and final ruling on all matters.

Our family became friends with a Jewish couple who were in KC for a conference. They were part of the Ethiopian Jewish congregation in Israel and were missionaries in the US. They had some grave concerns and red flags (regarding IHOP’s theology, the model that is used with everything IHOP related, etc) that they attempted to meet with Mike and discuss. After being brushed off by Mike multiple times in his refusal to meet with him…even though they were Jewish leaders from Israel and Mike knew of them, he finally told these friends of ours that “This is how we do things here. This is just how IHOP is. It’s not for everyone.” If there was something you didn’t like or didn’t agree with, you were basically told “IHOP wasn’t for everyone so if you couldn’t handle it, maybe you shouldn’t be here.” There was no actual accountability for anything deemed wrong/un-Biblical. We were told that IHOP has its own “culture” and you must assimilate into that culture and language to really understand it. If you had a problem with something, you were told that you just had not been around long enough to understand how they did things OR that you just weren’t a good fit. These were the answers I was given when I met with internship leaders right before leaving. There was never actual admittance of wrong doing or hurting anyone who was caught in the crossfire.

<!–[if !supportLists]–>6. <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult’s leader is a self-appointed messianic person claiming to have a special mission in life. For example, leaders of flying saucer cults claim that beings from outer space have commissioned them to lead people away from Earth, so that only the leaders can save them from impending doom.

Every intern was required to listen to the 12 hours of IHOP’s recorded history on CD footage. Much of this content was heavily edited before its publication. These tapes told of “prophetic words” and signs that were given to some of Mike’s mentors (Bob Jones, Paul Cain, etc)—who were all naming him as the leader of the next “big thing” God was doing. Over and over and over again I’ve heard it said (both directly by Mike as well as from others) that he (Mike) would be the leader of a movement that “changed the nature and expression of Christianity in the earth”. Every time, all recognition points to Mike. His “mission” to transform the church and capture the hearts of America’s youth has been his declared goal since the early 1980’s. One of the major dangers is that these grandious sounding claims and “prophetic” words are laden with flattery, narcissism, elitism and are a perfect guise under which anything Mike introduces through IHOP can fall under the heading of being a “new thing” God is doing.

This elitist teaching puts Mike on a pedestal and he has a Messianic-like devoted following of people who would do anything if he told them to without a moment of questioning or hesitation. From my observations and experiences on staff, IHOP members do not think for themselves or question Mike’s interpretation of scripture or the slant in the way he teaches it. At any conference, one will easily observe that if Mike recommends a book or promotes a teaching, a t-shirt or a speaker, at the next break, ALL of that item will be sold out in their bookstore. When I was on staff, I heard people continually sing Mike’s praises around the clock and quote more of what Mike says or thinks or teaches than actual scripture.

Mike has an alluring charisma and many seem to be instantly drawn to his convincing appearance of direction and purpose. He teaches with passion and emotion rather than truth and it’s that charisma that draws and hooks people causing many to blindly follow (and defend) his message.

I believe that the IHOP lifestyle by and large sets people up for disillusionment through the false hope that its deception provides. It is a pseudo, manufactured reality where people are told “you can live in Nirvana and enjoy the ‘high’ of being in God’s presence 24/7 and that can be ALL that you live for” so people sell all that they have, buy into a dream and move across the country to be a part of a ministry that makes captivating claims…and then their world often crumble to ashes when things aren’t as they seem once they arrive.

Mike’s primary target and focus is on the young people. His appeals from the pulpit and his well-polished speeches aim at capturing the hearts of America’s youth. Children and youth are not told or encouraged to respect or honor the parents G-d gave them. Instead, wedges are driven between families and a seed of pride, rebellion and elitism gets planted into the hearts of youth when they are told things like the following…

This is a very close paraphrase of what I’ve heard many, many times at One Thing, IHOP conferences and in teachings by leaders:

“YOU are called to be on the cutting edge. Come here and join a community of other people who are like you, called to what you’re called to. We understand you. You’ve been mis-understood in the church. You’ve had your wings clipped, your gifts misunderstood. Here you can fulfill your forerunner calling that your family just hasn’t understood about you. You might feel like you don’t fit back home, you’re on the outside, no one understands the fire in you. Well we get it. You are the leaders that G-d is raising up in these end times and you will be kings and queens on the earth—reigning with Him. You were made for this place. IHOP is an incubator for people like you.”

Narcissistic speeches like this instill a sense of pride, arrogance and elitism in the hearts of youth who hear it and it feeds their need for validation and identity. They run to IHOP, leave their families, join internships…hoping that what they’ve heard is true. They go to IHOP looking for identity…instead of finding it in Jesus.

Once outside of the IHOP environment, they are terrified and overwhelmed by the “real” world and don’t know how to function in it when they’ve been in an intensive internship environment. There is a degree of re-acclimating to normal life that feels like an IHOP detox afterward. It’s a severe emotional drop because the hyped up services and conferences that were your manna are now gone and when there is no prayer room, your life in God feels empty and lifeless. Many simply don’t know how to engage with God in a real day-to-day basis once they’ve left. I experienced this and heard the exact same thing from a handful of my friends after they left IHOP and the internship. At that point when disillusionment sets in, I know many interns that walked away from God completely upon leaving the internship and went back into lifestyles worse than the ones they left when they came to IHOP originally.

 

<!–[if !supportLists]–>7. <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult’s leader centers the veneration of members upon himself or herself. Priests, rabbis, ministers, democratic leaders, and other leaders of genuinely altruistic movements focus the veneration of adherents on God or a set of ethical principles. Cult leaders, in contrast, keep the focus of love, devotion, and allegiance on themselves.

I believe my statements above illustrate this so I won’t be redundant.

<!–[if !supportLists]–>8. <!–[endif]–>A destructive cult’s leader tends to be determined, domineering, and charismatic. Such a leader effectively persuades followers to abandon or alter their families, friends, and careers to follow the cult. The leader then takes control over followers’ possessions, money, time, and lives.

Youth are pumped up at conferences and then go home to tell their parents they are moving to Kansas City to join IHOP, be part of an internship, etc. At the time, sadly, they don’t realize how much more they are giving up and leaving behind than just their families. I was hurled into a system that took control of my time, when I ate, slept, had time alone, etc. Picking up the pieces of my heart and rebuilding a Biblical view of God after getting outside of IHOP was quite a long process. I hope that by sharing all of this, I am able to spare others the heartache of what I went through. 

 

Please don’t just take my word for it. Start doing your own research. Ask the Father to lead you as you pursue what is TRUTH. Don’t just stop at the facts–look deeper. Do Google searches on cults and ask the Lord to unveil deceptions.

Preacher says biblical church is vanishing from America

The Rev. Bob Pearle says a different kind of church has risen in America. In vast auditoriums and smaller places people listen to preachers who roam the stage and tickle the ears with feel-good messages.

Many of those churches follow “Wal-Mart” strategies of pleasing customers but often soft-soap hard biblical truths like hell, sin and salvation, Pearle declares in his recent book, The Vanishing Church: Searching for Significance in the 21st Century. (Hannibal Books, $14.95.)

Pearle is pastor of Fort Worth’s Birchman Baptist Church and president of the Grapevine-based Southern Baptists of Texas, a conservative state convention. He doesn’t hold that churches are literally “vanishing,” since there are all kinds of churches, often filled to overflowing, in our neck of the woods. 

“What I’m saying is that the biblical New Testament church is vanishing from society today,” he said. “Anything and everything is acceptable as long as it builds a crowd. Jesus wasn’t as interested in building a crowd as he was in telling the truth.” 

Seeker-sensitive churches take surveys to find out what the unchurched want, then build their product to meet consumer demand, he said. “It’s a bankrupt philosophy. Our responsibility as pastors and leaders is not to give people what they want necessarily but what they need.”

Also weakening the American church, he said, are what he calls unbiblical actions of the Episcopal Church and other denominations in tolerating same-sex marriage and gay and lesbian clergy.

Sociologist Wade Clark Roof, author of Spiritual Marketplace: Baby Boomers and the Remaking of American Religion and professor of religious studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara, says Pearle is responding in “a literalistic fundamentalist context.” 

“The individualistic piety associated with fundamentalism is increasingly empty to people looking for religion to address social justice issues and that is why Warren’s and others like it are growing,” Roof says. He was referring to the Rev. Rick Warren’s Saddleback Community Church in Lake Forest, Calif.

Roof acknowledges that there is danger in social gospel trends “if personal faith becomes weakened as liberal Protestantism shows.”

Pearle — who rejects the label of fundamentalist — says declining membership in many mainline Protestant groups results from watering down core biblical teachings. He believes that evangelicals who do that will suffer the same fate.

“You have to hear the bad news that we are sinners, before your receive the good news of salvation,” Pearle says.

Elaine Heath, author of The Mystic Way of Evangelism: A Contemplative Vision for Christian Outreach, says preaching about hell and damnation isn’t the best strategy to win converts.

“When missional, evangelistic Christians like me refuse to lead with threats of hell, preferring instead to lead with the good news of God’s love, it is not a move away from the tradition, but a move toward the ancient tradition,” said Heath, assistant professor of evangelism at Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology. “And it is a move that touches people’s hearts and lives with hope and healing and an invitation to receive the transforming love of God.”

Pearle says he’s all for preaching God’s love, as long as it includes biblical truth.

Pearle’s book also voices concerns about Baptist churches that establish “satellite campuses,” where a minister presides over several campuses and his sermons are projected by satellite onto screens in different locations during worship services.

“That violates Baptist ecclesiology,” he said. “The satellite campuses may have their own pastor but they are not totally autonomous from the mother church.”

The Rev. Ed Young, a Southern Baptist and pastor of Fellowship Church in Grapevine, has five satellite campuses, in Fort Worth, Dallas, Plano, Hawkins and Miami. He’s considering satellites in Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Madrid.

“Our satellite locations are doing great,” Young said. “The Fort Worth campus is already running 2,000. I can’t believe it myself.

“We’re not a perfect church. But I’m not as concerned about Baptist ecclesiology as I am about the New Testament. I know the Apostle Paul’s letters got circulated and read in the early churches. We think we are following the New Testament, but with new technology.”

Pearle said there are many kinds of megachurches, some more biblical than others, when asked about the largest church in America, Lakewood Church in Houston, where Joel Osteen preaches to as many as 30,000 each Sunday.

“Let’s face it,” Pearle said. “Joel Osteen, if he adheres to the same theology that his dad [John Osteen] did, you really can’t tell it by his preaching. His dad, although I disagreed with some of the theology he espoused, was much more biblical than his son.”

In the past, Osteen has said he doesn’t mention sin and damnation much, because people attending already know they are sinners and need to be given a message of hope. He ends each of his television broadcasts with a short message inviting people to accept Jesus as their savior.

Even with his criticisms, Pearle doesn’t claim that many of the new styles of churches aren’t doing any good.

“I’m just saying churches need to get rid of historical amnesia and get back to being the church,” he said. “We need to declare that we are all sinners, sin separates us from God, and that Jesus Christ is our only Savior.”

The New Breed – identifying the false prophets promises

Source This term has recently surfaced again through the Lakeland Revival when Bentley had Paul Cain there. It is taken from the Latter Rain teachings, a false theology of the church in dominionism before Jesus returns. The promoters of this teaching believe they will be transformed and not see death. This is the change that the Bible teaches will happen by the rapture and resurrection 1Thess.4:16-17 (the resurrection is applied to those who died). The new breed (manifest sons of God) are those who are living. that will have the effect of the rapture without Jesus. This promotes a postmillennial view that is man-centered. Dominionism that is dependent on ” super apostles and prophets ” who establish the Kingdom on earth without Christ. Without the rapture or resurrection death is defeated. It confuses Christ with the Church and turns end time prophecies on their head. For many who espouse a Latter Rain teaching this makes perfect sense since they hace accepted God pouring out his spirit on all flesh NOW. The Rapture has been exchanged for church dominionism by the new prophets that want to implement a new government. Rick Joyner, one of these “Prophets,” states in his book the Harvest: “the doctrine of the Rapture was a great and effective ruse of the enemy to implant in the Church a retreat mentality . . . already this yoke has been cast off by the majority in the advancing church, and it will soon be cast off by all” The advancing church that Joyner speaks of are progressives in their theology (they have one). They are those who have changed their end time view of the church, instead they will be victorious on earth with Christ coming back to initiate it. Many may not use the same exact term they do believe it and use it in principle. Paul Cain taught a new breed, which was a manifest sons of god teaching from the Latter Rain heresy along with various other latter rain teachings from the 40’s. The new breed has been around since the 80’s and was popularized when the Kansas City prophets were incorporated into the Vineyard Church of John Wimber through Paul Cain. So Cain is the bridge to Branham, to the Vineyard and to the prophets that are under Peter Wagner today. The prophetic movement that flourished in the Vineyard introduced and popularized the five fold ministry. That Apostles and prophets are now to be at the helm to steer the Church. Prophecies such as “God has invited us to have a role in establishing this New Order of Christianity” were continually spoken by the prophets. The new breed of which Cain speaks about is found in hundreds of thousands of believers manifesting signs and wonders that will do greater works than at any other time in history, greater works than those of the apostles. This generation born would be a great End-Time supernatural Army that God would raise up to move in the “Prophetic”. Called by various names- Joel’s Army”, “New Breed”, “Elijah Company”, “Manchild” or “Overcomers” they will conquer opposition to the gospel and subdue the nations before Jesus would come. The Manifest Sons of God interpretation of Rom.8 is that a certain group of overcomers will attain immortalization after coming to perfection under the authority of the latter-day apostles and prophets teachings (of which he is one). They will be able to move in and out of the supernatural and natural realms, even have the ability to walk through walls. This is Paul Cain’s explanation: “So my point is, that there will be a manifestation of the sons and daughters of God. And it won’t be this baloney that we’ve heard of in the past; I mean, there’s been a few people tried to walk through a wall like this over here and knocked their brain loose, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about a true manifested son of God: if anyone walks through this wall over here, they’re not going to tell you about it- I mean, they’re just going to do it. And sons of God don’t tell you they’re sons of God, they’ll just show You! Amen!”‘ (Paul Cain, The New breed.) Bill Hamon a prophet under Wagner also promotes this new breed teaching “At that time the sons of God will be fully manifested on the earth. Widespread spiritual warfare will result with the sons of God doing battle with Satan and company, the non-Christian nations of this world will also be defeated. Once the earth has been subdued, Jesus will come back to earth and be given the Kingdom that has been won for Him by this “manchild company.” The Manifested Sons of God doctrine teaches that these sons will be equal to Jesus Christ: immortal, sinless, perfected sons who have partaken of the divine nature. They will have every right to be called gods and will be called gods” (Prophets and the Prophetic Movement Bill Hamon). I think this statement sums up the whole matter and shows us how completely unbiblical their teaching is. The prophets that were once under Wimber and are now associates of Peter Wagner and have been speaking of this for years. Those who are Latter Rain promoters are all in agreement. Paul Cain: “I want you to know he’s coming to the church before he comes FOR the church. He’s gonna perfect the Church so the church can be the Image, and be him, and be his representation.” (Paul Cain: Nov 88, Tape: “My Father’s House”)’ This New Breed teaching has been promoted for many years “It now appears that God is raising up a New Breed of leadership to do the ‘new thing’. This NEW BREED will be young and fresh with a pioneering spirit – whether chronologically young or old in age. Last year I had the opportunity to meet several young men whom I believe represents this NEW BREED of leadership … We invite you to learn more about Mike Bickle, a part of God’s NEW BREED for the’ 99s (FULLNESS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNIQUE Vol. 3, No. 4. April 1990) The Latter Rains “New Breed” are supermen, a race of Christians whose bodies will be transformed, not by the coming of the Lord, but by a secret coming that would have them overcome death. This new breed of Christians is what is called the manifest sons of God doctrine of the Latter Rain.“Not only will they not have diseases, they will also not die. They will have the kind of imperishable bodies that are talked about in the 15th chapter of Corinthians … this army is invincible. If you have intimacy with God, they can’t kill you.” (Paul Cain, “Joel’s Army,” 1990 cited in Documentation of the Aberrant Practices and Teachings of Kansas City Fellowship p. 218.) Both John Wimber and Jack Deere spoke of the invincibility of this army. Jack Deere says, ” they won’t be able to kill this army.” John Wimber said, “those in this army will have the ‘kind of anointing …his kind of power … anyone who wants to harm them must die. They would be empowered to do signs and wonders beyond anything we have seen In the mobilizing the prophetic conference Mike Bickle reiterates Cain’s vision: “The second thing is an unprecedented display of power -releasing signs and wonder s so far beyond the early church. The stadiums of the earth filled. I believe over a billion people coming in the great harvest. I believe the second message of the forerunners, the great harvest- a billion with signs and wonders greater than what the apostles did combined with what Moses did. I believe what Moses and the apostles did is gonna be combined and multiplied on a global level and it will be common to see the stadiums of the earth filled and a billion people coming to the Lord within an unprecedented display of power. ‘the forerunners”- plural. Meaning a great company, Joel’s army (many Elijah’s and other Bible names are applied) to bring in the end time harvest. They ignore believers being servants to evangelize the nations, instead, we need something GREATER. Called to identify the New Breed of men, Cain’s (and their) mission, was to initiate the “Endtime Ministry.” But the question is what end time ministry will they initiate? As Jesus warned us “many false prophets will rise up and deceive many”(Matt 24:11) and further in his series of warnings he stated v.24 “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”Jesus never spoke of an end time army of prophets that will do signs and wonders, he warned against this. Nevertheless this New Breed of people would be the most powerful people in the history of humanity. “Joel’s Army” individually manifest as Sons of God. Paul Cain: “No prophet or apostle ever lived equal the power of these individuals in this great army of the Lord in these last days. No one ever had it, not even Elijah, or Peter, or Paul or anyone else enjoyed the power that’s going to rest upon, uh, this, uh, great Army. Cain says of Joel’s Army (based on Joel 2): “I told you about … this recurring [35 year-old] vision I had…. The angel of the Lord said, ‘You’re standing at the crossroads of life. What do you see?’ And I saw a brilliantly lit billboard which reads, ‘Joel’s Army now in training.’ . . . .I believe one day soon Joel’s Army will be in training … until it graduates into the stadium …. But a right understanding of the plan of God for this generation brings this tremendous inclusion…. God’s offering to you, this present generation, a greater privilege than was ever offered any generation at any time from Adam clear down through the millennium.“ “I had a vision of you people coming from . . . a circle of maybe a hundred miles and I saw people coming from every major city within that circumference and a great conclave was taking place, and it was the training of Joel’s Army. . . . I believe that people are going to come together by the thousands and train for the Army of the Lord. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? I mean, that’s long overdue.” Paul Cain was promised “One day he would be allowed to stand before a new breed of men and women leaders.” His waiting is over by pronouncing Todd Bentley the first of the new breed. May, 5 2008. Paul Cain: prays to the Father in the name of Jesus “I thank you that you have answered my prayer that you have let me live to see tokens of this revival are be involved in it in some way or a participant if possible AND LORD YOU HAVE NEVER HAS ALLOWED ME TO SAY THAT I HAVE MET THE NEW BREED, ABSOLUTELY- MET THE NEW BREED. And when you brought Todd Bentley and I together the angel of the Lord said “you have found what you are looking for,” this is a man without guile. Cain stutters in trying to pull together a bible example using the man up in the tree Zachais and is helped by Bentley and those on stage to realize it Nathaniel “behold Nathaniel in whom there is no guile. I couldn’t believe when people were criticizing Todd that surely had some kind of guile in him and the lord spoke to me as clearly as he has ever spoken before, and I’ve stood by the notables and the greats that had the greatest healing ministry of all times and I’ve never met anyone that has the integrity and the possibilities of leading this thing into a worldwide revival. And I just want to confer and bless whatever I can do,… I just place to myself to hear from the Lord and to transfer and to give to my brother who has given so much to others and soo much to me, everything you have ever deposited into my life that I didn’t know how to give away I’m giving it to my brother tonight to carry on this revival until the stadiums all over the world have been, uh… catching this, have been carriers of it and taking it from one end of the world to the other and thank you I’VE MET THE NEW BREED TONIGHT.”  Bentley finished Paul Cain’s stay on the platform by saying to Paul Cain and his audience “We honor a great prophet of the Lord, may God anoint every new breed that’s out there tonight anoint them (repeats anoint them about 10 times) … raise up a new breed, raise up a healing army oh god, you said this day was coming a Joel’s army being released. Its here, its now, and we’re not going back.” False prophets Bob Jones and Paul Cain have proclaimed to Bentley that he was the first fruits of the New Breed that was prophesied to work mighty signs and wonders and fill stadiums to overflowing as fulfilling Paul Cain’s vision. Bobby Conner also writes something similar about Bentley. It has been my delight to serve on the board of Todd Bentley’s ministry advisors. I’ve been able to watch this young man from the early days of his ministry. God has placed an awesome anointing upon Todd’s life. I believe he is a forerunner of a new breed that God is now raising up – part of a breed of believers with great grace and anointing.” (Bobby Conner, EaglesView Ministries “http://www.bobbyconner.org) So we should not be surprised to have seen many of the prophetic players on stage with Bentley as this scenario unfolded. Bill Hamon is one who has promoted the various teachings on the Latter Rain and John Eckhardt an apostle under Wagner also teaches about the new breed. At The National school of the prophets “For all over the earth there is a new breed being raised up. There was a new leadership coming into place and many men and women are taking their place in leadership and the apostles are rising and the prophets are rising…” “Open up your hearts, open up your spirits right now. Receive it. Receive it. Receive it. Receive it. A new breed. A new breed. A new breed. A new breed. Receive it. Receive it. Receive it. Receive it. Receive it. Receive it. It’s coming upon you right now. It’s coming upon you right now. It’s coming upon you right now. By faith. Receive it. Receive it.” “And the Lord said, “And each city and each region a new breed of prophetic and apostolic leaders shall be raised up and you shall begin to do what you could not do before and you shall begin to release my grace and my anointing upon the people” (National School Of The Prophets “Mobilizing The Prophetic Office” John Eckhardt – Friday, 5/12/00, – Session 12 Transcribed from audio). He writes in his book Moving in the Apostolic: “The Lord is raising up a new breed of believers with an endtimes apostolic and prophetic anointing to shake nations” ( Moving in the apostolic p.40 John Eckhardt) A new installment of leadership that we now see as the Apostles and prophets are to train and perfect the New Breed and bring in a shift, the “NEW ORDER” of government on the earth that will supposedly rule through the church. They want to see the Churches unite and come under the authority of their NEW Apostolic Network. As the new apostles’ and prophets’ words are to be obeyed just as the first century apostles.     Nowhere does the Bible mention a NEW BREED of people for the last days. According to the Scriptures we are all equal in faith, grace, having the Holy Spirit and have been given spiritual gifts that will be exercised by faith. The NEW BREED is one of the most dangerous and divisive doctrines. Besides being completely unbiblical, it is spiritual eliteism. Hitler obsessed himself with the spiritual idea of a NEW BREED of people, a NEW ORDER that would reign for 1,000 years and we see how that worked out. When great power lays in the hands of a few there is danger. It was early 1983, Bob Jones heard about a group of young people at a new church in the south Kansas City. After visiting them, he knew this was some of the “new breed” the Lord had told him about in the visions in 1976. Jones was used supernaturally to confirm the Word of the Lord to the leadership team. Bob Jones spoke of a NEW BREED: “The children are the best of all the generations that have ever been upon the face of the earth. . . those ELECTED SEEDS that will glorify Christ in the last days. .. they will move into things of the supernatural that no one has ever been in the Bible – They’ll move in it consistently. . . they themselves will be that generation that’s raised up to put death itself underneath their feet. . . . a church that has reached the full maturity of the god- man!“ Paul Cain “…contain the good of all the previous moves and much more, to lead the church of Jesus Christ into the greatest season of harvest, manifestation of power and glory and righteousness that the world has ever known.” Recently, Bob had a vision of the new breed coming forth. The Spirit of Holiness coming forth is the divine nature of Christ.( “When Heaven Touches Earth by Paul Cain:” “The coming move of God is going to be a lot different than I ever thought—and I’m sure it will be different than you thought, too. The Lord is going to move in a completely new way, unlike anything we have ever seen before. It is good to look for precedents in Scripture and in church history, but many of the things that God will do in the days ahead are truly unprecedented. In fact, God has set somewhat of a precedent for doing unprecedented things. There never had been a precedent for a burning bush, but He used a burning bush as a powerful sign (see Exodus 3). Moses didn’t have any doctrinal or theological foundation to prepare him for his encounter with this burning bush. God simply put His glory on a bush that burned without being consumed, and Moses turned aside to see. Like the burning bush, the church will again shine with the glory of the Lord. Though the bush was merely an inanimate plant impregnated with God’s glory, the church will be a living body that is glorious beyond description. Like the burning bush, we will be a sign that people will turn aside to see. The holy radiation of God will drive out all kinds of illnesses in these last days, and it will be the number one cure for cancers, AIDS and all kinds of communicable diseases. God will once more do things that are unprecedented. He will do things that are different from anything He has ever done before.” (Morningstar Ministries So lets ignore that the Scripture states in Heb. 1:1-2: “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things” Lets ignore the continual revelation God gave to certain people throughout history until the final culmination, the Living word that became the Word, (66 books). Paul wrote that it is the Scripture “that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:17). Taking the Latter Rain position we would have to ignore the book of Revelation where God does tell us what will take place at the end. Instead we are to accept God will continue to give new revelation through these modern prophets and do miracles in ways completely unheard of before. Then the Bible is not complete and cannot be for us a measure of what is or is not from God. “As we see the day approaching, there’s going to be cleansing … there’s going to be a purging coming forth … and… and God’s new breed will come forth …” ? (Bob Jones, Kansas City Prophets, Vineyard International). A cleansing, that is what the Occultists (Alice Bailey type new agers) call it that are trying to reshape the world into the new world order. There is an ongoing war for the church. Everyone is involved in this whether they like it or not, you cannot sit this one out. Who will you side with? The new apostles and prophets that promise Biblical distortions or those who want to adhere to the faith that was delivered to us all through the Bible. Considering that Paul Cain pronounced Bentley as the new breed without any protest from his spiritual comrades we should assume he identified it correctly. This means their whole teaching on this matter is closed as Bentley had the plug pulled on him by God himself. Lakeland was used to promote something far more reaching and it was halted. But the Latter Rain movement is aggressive and will not let this failure deter their goals. Soon it will be restarted. The question the body of Christ needs to ask themselves is if they have learned anything from this latest debacle. God by His grace may not intervene this next time, He may let the deception runs its course. (John 15:15) I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer; for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.] The Spirit of holiness coming forth will have resurrection power in it and this power will bring the obedience of what Christ called us to. (Mt 10:8) cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons.”  ”Most of the people Bob saw were between the ages of 25 & 40.  They will be the first of the new breed which others will immediately begin to follow and they will not fall back. The Spirit of Holiness is different than the Holy Spirit although it works by the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit of Holiness is the nature of Christ in you coming forth in maturity.  Christ formed in you to a new level of maturity. Paul’s prayer will be answered; he travailed until Christ be formed in you. (Gal 4:19) suffering birth pangs until Christ is formed in us.” Those who will walk forth in the Spirit of Holiness will be individuals who will represent Christ in a new level of maturity. These will be the first of the great youth leaders which countless numbers will follow.    Christ was the first of the new breed coming forth resurrected by the Spirit of Holiness.  This new breed will be motivated by the Spirit of God doing nothing of themselves but only doing what they see the Father doing. (John 5:19)” http://www.bobjones.org In his vision tells us the new breed that will be of the divine nature and have resurrection power and perfectly obedient. These are excerpts of THE NEW BREED August 4, 2008: ”There is a coming forth of the NEW BREED!  They are not old and they are not young.  They will come forth in the Spirit of Holiness.   (Rom 1:4…). What a Pastor is not!

This is Perry Noble of New Spring “Church” scolding those people in the congregation that expect him to behave like a pastor.   I only wish everyone in the congregation had walked out on this guy!

 

Todd Bentley’s Mistress Revealed

End Time Prophetic Words blog has just broken the news about Todd Bentley’s mistress, Jessa.  You can read about it here.  Miriam did a great job exposing all the lies coming from Todd and the rest of the so called “apostles”. 

I recommend that you follow the links to the myspace pages that she has on her site, so you can see for yourself what Todd is up to now.     On Todd’s myspace page bio you can see that he’s talking like he’s still in the ministry….  

He says this (Notice the use of the present tense!!):

“Todd Bentley is an international speaker, author, and evangelist called to global harvest.   Todd Bentley and his team take God’s saving, healing and delivering power to the nations.  Todd travels throughout North America , sparking revival fire and equipping the body in power evangelism and healing Ministry.  As well, Todd and his team conduct many healing crusades throughout Africa , India , South America , Europe and beyond.  Over one million decisions for Christ have been made in more than 65 countries.”

Not only is this a lie… he currently has NO team and is NOT in the ministry (who in their right mind would have him come?)   BUT he also has the most demonic music playing on his page that I couldn’t get off of it fast enough!

I thought we were through with him, I guess I was wrong :(

God desires TRUTH in the inner parts of man   (Ps. 51:6a) and God will have his way!  Liars will be thrown into the lake of fire !

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers,
the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts,
the idolaters and all liars — their place will
be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
This is the second death” (Rev. 21:8).

“Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit
the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:

The Bad Foundation of the Lakeland Outpouring

Thanks to the person who pointed this out to me!

Is it any wonder that Stephen Strader hosted false profit  prophet Todd Bentley earlier this year?  It was his father, Karl Strader, who launched the ministry of Rodney (“It Was The Pastor’s Job To Fleece the Sheep”) Howard Browne in the early 1990’s.  

In 2004 Randy and Paula White and Without Walls Church purchased Strader’s Carpenter’s Home Church buildings and are now having financial problems due in part to their divorce and people leaving the congregation.  I guess the sheep aren’t so stupid after all!

Pastor Karl Strader Is History

One thing can be said for Assembly of  God  Pastor Karl Strader of Lakeland — he just refuses to go away quietly. A year after giving up the most visible symbol of his one-time religious conglomerate — the monumental Carpenter’s Home Church sanctuary — Strader is now 76 and fighting prostate cancer. And after experiencing the loss of a once-thriving ministry and seeing one of his sons serve years in jail, his theology now embraces a concept not much talked about in his Pentecostal tradition -suffering.
