Micah Moore is now out on bail. I’m still in shock that he is the lone arrest in this case. The reporter for the AP Crime desk in KC told someone I know that no one in KC was talking!

Mike Bickle has either paid a LOT of $$$ to help IHOP keep a low profile, or else he has friends in high places. (And no, I’m not referring to The Lord here…but just in KC itself.)
Bethany Deaton’s parents must just be sick about this. The news refers to Tyler Deaton as “the spiritual leader” but since Tyler was an IHOP regular, WHO does that make Tyler’s spiritual leader?
It is shocking to me on both counts; That Moore was even given bail, & that no one else has been sequestered; especially Deaton. One good thing is that there is really no place to hide.
We can pray that justice will be done. I am a little grieved at the the way whole thing was handled….but now must believe that God is in control.
Just a thought, but could Micah Moore’s confession been because of Sozo method used in IHOP’s counseling? Wonder what kind of counseling sessions Bethany was going through? Just a question.
Joanne, your referral to Mike Bickle being ‘Teflon’ sure seems true, once again. However, when the Lord brings about justice, there is no stopping it. May He swiftly bring about justice for this girl’s murder, and may all guilty parties be held accountable – and, may He comfort her poor family.

Julie… I’ve been thinking there might not be justice in this case, as with the Jerimiah Candler case… although justice may come indirectly in the future. The house of cards must eventually fall!
I agree. Ultimately, the Lord metes out justice in His timing. Having followed this ministry, I scratch my head at what they’ve gotten away with…
I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your continuing follow up of the Bethany Deaton case. I knew her, and don’t want to see her forgotten. The media hasn’t been fair to her memory, but at least the news is getting out there. I hope at the end of this Micah and Tyler can’t find a bridge to sleep under due to their infamy.
SU student…. thanks for your comment. I am only hoping that they eventually press charges against others in this case!! I have it on good report that the DA believes they will get a conviction against Moore.
wow, so sorry for bethany denton’s family that micah is the only one in custody wow. SHOWS HOW EVIL THIS CHURCH IS AND HOW FAR REACHING AND IMPACTING AND HOW CORRUPT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS. Grew up in a town like this where the head pastor had a pastor become a policeman to erase all the corrupt records on the church andf himself=pretty evil. That’s why came aboard and whistleblew it when you asked me to recognized the hitler/napolean in the pulpit. SO MANY STUPID SHEEPLE that still tithe and attend and don’t research a matter.
Quite a few corrupt police in our church and you wonder why the selling out and the false loyalty to this evil leader who I consider a warlock type. Total control freak and VERY UNHEALED HIMSELF.
I knew Micah when he was at SU. We were never extremely close but would talk frequently. He was a vulnerable and lost individual, and I feel strongly that his involvement in this was due to manipulative and corrupt individuals. If he has to pay for the sins of others, it will be a great injustice.
I agree SUAlum, unfortunately, the police have not made another arrest. Very sad indeed.
