Did Peter Wagner’s commissioning of Todd Bentley cause a rift in the ICA?
Are WAGNER’s APOSTLES LEAVING??

Last week we published a number of strong statements against
Lakeland by one of Peter Wagner’s ‘apostles’ named Robert
Ricciardelli. For those who are not aware, Peter Wagner heads
up an organization devoted to setting in place “apostles” over the church. This is known as the ‘New Apostolic Reformation’ (NAR), and it has been very controversial. I myself have never seen it as any kind of true “Reformation” – because all it seems to do is set up another level of hierarchy over the existing ones. I also question whether many of the “apostles” are true apostles – but that is another story. Suffice it to say, that Wagner runs one of the most powerful and far-reaching global networks in the Charismatic world.
I don’t know if Peter Wagner fully realized what he was doing
when he went down to Lakeland and publicly endorsed Todd
Bentley and the ‘revival’ there. But clearly he started a rift in his
own movement that may very well almost tear it apart.
However, before we discuss this further, it is also important to
note that even some “pro-Lakeland” churches are beginning to
have second thoughts about supporting that movement – as more
factual information begins to emerge about what is really going on.
The following was written by the leader of a “pro-Lakeland” church -
and forwarded to me this week. (I have removed the identity of
both the leader and the church). This really is an amazing
admission for such a “pro-Lakeland” leader to make:
“Hi staff,
We need to talk, probably as a staff, and go through what I’ve
found out. I had a long talk with Robert Ricciardelli. He’s no revival
critic… He loves revival, believes in healing, prophecy and all the
rest and is delighted to hear about the healings we’ve had here.
He’s a close friend of Stephen Strader… He’s in an accountability
relationship with Lee Grady (editor of Charisma Magazine) and is
a writer for Charisma on occasion. He’s part of C. Peter Wagner’s
apostolic network, recognized by Peter as an apostle. I’ve seen
the man’s website and he’s legit, not a heresy hunter.
“The reports he has given me are firsthand, not hearsay. I am
deeply troubled, grieved and tormented at what I’m hearing. He
attributes most of the anointing at Lakeland to Roy Fields (worship
leader). I agree. Roy is nothing but clean and God shows up hugely
when he leads worship. I can go into detail later about what is
surfacing, but there are huge lapses of integrity going on… Much
embellishment. Many claims have been made that simply are not
true. The Charisma crew has researched it. I want to weep. My
heart is breaking. For now, to be safe and for the sake of integrity,
we need to stop speaking about the claimed resurrections. Three
of them have been checked out with the doctors and EMTs
involved and found never to have happened at all. Todd has been
confronted with this and has not adjusted the numbers in his
claims. Not a single one of the other claimed resurrections can
be substantiated despite diligent effort to do so. Even after
Stephen Strader brought it down to 13 (and even those couldn’t
be substantiated) Todd ran it back up to 27 and more.
Misrepresentation and embellishment!
“On the financial front, Todd recently told the crowd that God had
told him that there were 1,000 people who would give $1,000 and
that they would be blessed 1,000-fold. Robert called Stephen
Strader to confront the unbiblical nature of that appeal. It came
out that Todd admitted he hadn’t heard that from God, that it was
just an idea he had so that they could raise money to build a big
stadium. Robert challenged them to issue an apology the following
night based on that false claim of being told by God and they
refused to do it on the excuse that it’s a different crowd every night.
“That’s the flavor of what I’m finding. There’s a lot more. I’m so
grieved I can hardly think. I’m not saying the Lakeland Outpouring
is not of God (God is bigger than the men involved), although good
men whom I have respected all my life are saying just that (that it’s
not of God), based on what they know and have seen…
“What I am saying is that we need to back up and not identify
ourselves closely with Lakeland and that we need to stop repeating
claims being made on the air lest we end up getting splattered
with the collateral damage when certain issues of false claims,
embellishments and lapses of integrity begin to come out more
publicly. By the way, no one is saying that some healings have not
happened – only that many false, embellished or unsubstantiated
claims have been made. A number of really good men, champions
of revival through the years, are actually saying that the whole
thing is of the devil and that even the healings are demonically
inspired. I want to be clear that I’m not going there…” [-end quote].
So here we have a ‘pro-Lakeland’ church checking out these facts
for the first time and now deciding that they “need to back up and
not identify ourselves closely with Lakeland.” Pretty amazing!
Meanwhile – back to the topic of “apostles” and what is now
happening in Peter Wagner’s main ‘ICA’ organization:
One of Wagner’s apostles, Robert Ricciardelli, put out an email
this week saying that he has received a great deal of support for
his stand against Lakeland – the majority of it from pastors. And
he also made the following very significant statement:
“As a member of ICA, Peter Wagner actually caused many
questions to come my way because of my membership there.
I will no longer be involved with that organization and actually
have not tracked well with them and some of their agendas since
I have been involved with them. However, I have enjoyed the many
relationships I have developed from going to the annual meetings.
Most all of those relationships are also disengaging from their
affiliation with ICA, because of many issues beyond Lakeland.”
So clearly Robert is now leaving the ICA – as are other ‘apostles’
that he knows of also. I asked him to clarify this last point.
Robert wrote to me:
“The ICA leadership continues to adopt belief systems without
seeking the advice and counsel of members. Many of the members
do not, and will not support these beliefs, including the support of
anti-biblical behavior and doctrine currently being expressed through
Todd Bentley and Freshfire Ministries. In fact as ICA embraces
this, they now have taken a stance that will indirectly have to
embrace many of the same ministries, including “New Mystic”
John Crowder and others. This escalating focus on angels,
experiences, trances, etc is far from the focus of Jesus, His
Kingdom, and His righteousness… Many of us who really enjoyed
the ICA annual conferences are now forced to make a decision
as to whether to continue our involvement with them.”
Robert has also stated that he personally was never into
“Dominionist” beliefs or the “hierarchical NAR agenda.” His last
statement to me was: “I think that there is a chance that many
may disassociate with the ICA depending on Todd continuing to
reveal his deceptive doctrine and Peter continuing to support such doctrine.”
I wonder if Peter Wagner ever imagined that by endorsing Todd
Bentley he may be sowing huge seeds of destruction in his own
movement? -Perhaps only time will tell.

Todd Bentley and John Crowder and The New Breed – Part 2
In my previous blog on John Crowder and Todd Bentley I defined “kundalini” as ”a Sanskrit word which can be defined as: The spiritual force in every human being that lies at the base of the spine, coiled like a snake. It is also called “serpent power.” Once awakened through yoga and meditation, it rises through the chakras, producing spiritual knowledge and mystical powers.”
I compared “kundalini” with the Hebrew word Nachash, or serpent which “according to the Qabalah the Nachash is “the snake within man, the radical egotism which causes an individual being to make of itself a center and to relate everything else to it.
Is it any wonder then, that John Crowder’s book and ministry are called “The New Mystics”. John is into all forms of mysticism, mystical manifestations and “bliss” experiences, which he and his friends compare with being “high” on Jesus. Comparing their mystical experiences with drug vanacular they make a mockery of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Kundalini is the serpent force is the force behind RADICAL EGOTISM to cause man to be completely SELF CENTERED. Kundalini is Sanskrit for Blissful energy dormant within the physical body.

Notice the eye in the hand in the video. Here’s a picture from John Crowder’s album cover. Notice the hole in the hand resembles the eye in the kundalini video!
According to the web site “The Biology of Kundalini”, Kundalini is synominous with BLISS. “During and forever after a kundalini awakening there is constant bliss to varying degrees. Some of the chemicals involved in bliss include the endorphins, endogenous cannaboids, sex hormones, nitric oxide, dopamine, oxytocin, ionized cerebrospinal fluid, dopamine, phenylethylamine and possibly the ATP molecule itself. The concentrations of these various bliss agents change with the different kundalini events, the stages and the seasonal and lunar variations in the flux of kundalini.”
The following are excerpts from advertisements for some of John Crowder’s CD’s:

Access a portal for realms of unusual signs and wonders, and allow the Lord to revolutionize your paradigm of reality!”
“Here is a video where John Crowder and Ben Dunn talk about beings on drugs:
John & Benjamin discuss some of the drug references that are found in their earlier YouTube antics, explaining how Jesus Christ is the one and only source of their intoxication and holy pleasure. Drugs are, of course, only a counterfeit to the true and living Love Bliss of holy ecstasy that comes as a result of being filled with the Holy Spirit”
Note again the use of the word “bliss” to describe their “experiences”
John says in his newsletter: “We are tired of seeing the church forfeit over inner trance experiences to drug culture, new age and the occult, which can only offer counterfeits at best and demonic counterparts at worst. As believers, we should be the most intoxicated people on the planet – blissed out on the God of ecstasy who has rivers of pleasure flowing at His right hand! We were never created for a dry, boring, sober religious existence.”
Sorry John, I don’t see this teaching in the New Testament where Jesus says in order to save your life you must LOSE it. The goal of the death and resurrection, in fact the very eternal purpose of God, is that ALL THINGS CONFORM TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON! Jesus didn’t die for you so that you could live your life in a drugged out trance state. This is an abomination!
Here’s a video of a Sloshfest meeting where John Crowder and Ben Dunn are promoting the “ecstasy” of God. Notice how the people in the video aren’t worshiping God and the music has a strong hypnotic drum beat. The people are going into a hypnotic trance state similar to the awakening of the kundalini. This is totally “self” centered, NOT God centered, which is actually HUMANISTIC SPIRITUALITY, and NOT Christianity.
Patricia King recently introduced a video by Matt Sorger, a close associate of Todd Bentley’s who is teaching on a “new breed” of Christian. It actually wasn’t a bad teaching, except for the fact that Sorger is really talking about signs and wonders, although he only hints at that.
But what “breed” are we? As Christians we are born again by the seed of God. We are the Body of Christ. If we are Christ’s body, then we are of His spiritual DNA. What DNA would a “new breed” be made of? Would this be a cross breed? It reminded me of the scripture in Genesis 3 where God says “the seed of the woman would be at enmity with the seed of the serpent”. The word for serpent used here in Hebrew is Nachash.
Defined as: nah-KHAHSH) n. Serpent; Snake. Note that the verb nachash means to practice divination or sorcery. References: Gen. 49:17; Deut. 8:15
The word nachash [nāoḥaš נחשׂ] can be a verb “diviner/deceiver“, a noun “serpentine/reptilian”, or an adjective “shining one” (hence “illuminati”, “enlightenment” etc

So we see that there is no difference between the “nachash” and the “kundalini”. It was the nachash that deceived Eve in the Garden and he is still deceiving today.
Are Christians actually practicing Kundalini and awakening a serpent force and calling it the Holy Spirit?
In This video John Crowder and Ben Dunn introduce you to their Drunken Glory Tours where they are spreading this “glory” all over the globe.
They promote getting “drunk” on God and have a new album out called “Toking the Ghost” where the titles are:

They are now equivocating an experience in the Spirit with Marijuana!

In this video there is no actual worship going on. It appears that people are being brought into an altered state of consciousness and they stupidly think that the “ecstasy” is God! They call themselves Jesus junkies and now Jesus is the new X!
They are calling their meetings “slosh fests” and people are jumping around like they are in mosh pits at a rave club. They abandon doctrine and theology for experiences and signs and wonders.
Todd Bentley is praying in the following video with John and Carol Arnott to reopen the wells of Toronto. The outpouring in Toronto was a major release of kundalini power that infiltrated the Church. We are still seeing the effects of it today, snowballing in places like Lakeland, Fla and moving through people like Todd Bentley and John Crowder a modern gnostic / mystic who talks about “toking the ghost”, a reference to getting high on the Holy Spirit.
In the following video you can see Carol Arnott shaking with kundalini (serpent) power.
I guess these people don’t know that in the Bible Jacob couldn’t re-dig the wells that Abraham had dug because the Philistines kept pouring dirt into them. He eventually dug a NEW well. I for one have no intention of drinking out of these dirt filled wells.
She is exposing some of the new age practices taught by Patricia King the woman who ordained Todd Bentley.
Here is a quote from Dave Hunt’s Berean Call newsletter of March 2008:
“Not surprisingly, then, is perhaps their greatest common denominator: an affinity for (and outright embrace of) Contemplative Spirituality. Patricia King – Dances Ekstasis Worship that New Agers Practice

I honestly thought I had seen it all until I stumbled across this on YouTube. I sat watching the 1st video, wondering when Jesus is coming back because I am getting to the point where I can’t take this occultism disguised as Christianity anymore. But then I found the 2nd video. I nearly died!
So in the first video we have Patricia King promoting a man called Caleb Brundidge who looks like a Rastafarian (I would not be surprised if he holds Rastafarian beliefs). Caleb is supposed to be a christian who has this organisation/company/whatever that hosts dance parties for ‘Christians’ called Club Mysterio. In fact it’s nothing more than a Rave where instead of using the drug Ecstasy they get their kicks from a ‘holy spirit’ [in lower case] instead by ’going outside of your mind’ through dance, I mean trance. And later out of your mind or maybe you have to be out of your mind to call yourself a Christian and accept something like this as being of God.
I have transcribed the entire 2 videos word for word for those who don’t have high bandwidth connections or bandwidth costs are too expensive. But I URGE you to never the less VIEW BOTH videos for you have to see it to believe it!
Patricia King (Supposed woman of God with a massive ministry called Extreme Prophetic who endorses Todd Bentley along with her ‘agents’. She along with many others is mentored by Bob Jones. Bob Jones is nothing but a lunatic – I honestly can’t find any better word for this man. Worst of all practically every prophet in the ‘new move of God’ looks up to him as being some kind of supernatural prophetic wonder – you could possibly say the same thing about a very bad psychic or medium at your local New Age fair.)

Well you see, Ekstasis Worship, is going beyond the mindset, going beyond the mundane into the ECSTASY of God. [Deborah's Note: Beyond the mindset of scripture is what he means into a state of emotion so intense that a person is carried beyond rational thought and self-control] But the ecstasy of God, as you felt that, as you thought about the ecstasy of God, you couldn’t sit still could you? [Deborah's note: Again, no] It was just like man, you know that I just can’t sit still when I think about the Ecstasy of God. And it makes me wanna dance, it makes me wanna move, it makes me wanna go into Ekstasis Worship.
So Eksasis Worship is just going beyong the normal mindset of regular worship, and going to a place in your mind, body, soul and spirit; into the eccstasssyyyy of God. And experiencing Him like never before. Being free to dance, to whirl around, like nooo know else is in the room with you, but you and God. Can you just imagine that magnitude of freedom? [Deborah's note: Have you experienced the magnitude of freedom that is Jesus Christ?] That is Ekstasis worship.
I know some of you are out there already feeling it, because so many times when I’ve talked about ecstasy and Ekstasis worship and people are like yessss I know what you’re feeling, I’m there with you, I love to dance and I love to move and I just love to show the freedom. [Deborah's note: Yes I've heard 'E' (Ecstasy) addicted Ravers say the same thing]
So very clearly, Club Mysterio – it’s a club where we come together and experience Ekstasis worship. Even in our prayer and our movement. It’s about dancing – dancing your praise, dancing your worship, dancing your intercession, feeling it in your body, giving your body to God as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, [Deborah's note: Um...you can't be serious? I think he is serious!] begining to whirl and twirl. There’s a word that’s called Chule [sp?] and this word Chule [sp?] is one of the only movement words in dance with intercession so imagine going into intercession in Ekstasis worship, and you man, ahhh your whole body is feeling it and you can dance it. Cos sometimes there comes a time in prayer, and worhsip and praise – there are no words to express that emotion that’s bubbling up. So you just beging to go forth with the whole entire body and feel it in dancing and releasing and things begin to happen. [Deborah's note: Really?] When you dance out your praise, when you dance out your prayers, you dance out your emotion and love for Jesus Christ something happens (snaps his fingers) not only in the spiritual but in the natural and in the force. [Deborah's Note: What force? Darth Varder's Dark Force?] Dance is a powerful tool of communication. [Deborah's Note: God understands all languages (He created them] you don’t need to dance or play charades with Him in order to communicate, besides how to you repent of sin through dancing, especially when you have emptied your mind and moved outside of your mind. Repentance is the most powerful tool of communication with God through Jesus Christ.]
Man! Dance sets you free! There is freedom in the dance. [Deborah's note: That's odd the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ sets us free] So we’re gonna show you a little clip from one of our times, uh one of our ‘flower’?? [could not make out what he said here] conferences where we did some Ekstasis worship. Wild! Crazy, there’s just spinning around, oh man! [Deborah's note: oooo kkkkk] What’s this, and if you just (Caleb gets all excited) get it in your mind, [Deborah's note: Get it?] get excited and you say man I want this in my church or man I want this in my youth group, I want this for our college campus. We can bring Club Mysterio, Ekstasis worship of God to you. Where ever you are!

The video resembles a RAVE! With Caleb on the turn tables playing trace music (specific style of Rave music) and Patricia King on the stage dancing. There is a huge crowd of ‘christians’ losing their minds as Patricia encourages them.
But wait, only during the clip of the Rave does Caleb really explain what Ekstasis worship is…hold onto your horsies people this is a mind blower with regards to what God commands us to do! Caleb says the EXACT opposite!
Caleb says: “This generation is hungry, hungry, for the mysteries of God, this generation wants to experience God in a way, in an abandoned way, like never before. [Deborah's note: An abandoned way? *scratches head*]
They long to relieve their passion for God. When we’re making decrees and praising God, the music and your jumping and your dancing and your moving around – well the words that we’re speaking becomes one at a cellular level in your body, and it’s not like your learning, it’s part of who you are, IT’S NOT LONGER THAT YOU HAVE TO STUDY THE WORD but when you’re inside of an infused atmosphere with dancing and your body is moving, and the word is coming [Deborah's note: What word? Oh your words...sorry] and the music – IT becomes part of you. (see Patricia King on stage (5:54min and 6:04) [Deborah's note: I don't think I have to say anything about this, it's self explanatory - even the babiest of born again believers can discern this one]
It’s the rythym and the sound and the repetitiveness of the music – the word is spinning into your body, not just your mind, not just your soul, but the whole mind, body and soul.
Ekstatis worship is worship that you go outside of your mind, and just release yourself into abandoned worship with God, but going into the ecstasy of God.

So I didn’t find it at all surprising to learn while googling that Ekstasis is also linked to Quantum healing techniques. The only real different between the two is a church service has more people and at the best of times the manifestations are more bizarre). They say it’s mind over matter, I say…the mind is a powerful thing but give Satan a chance and he will show you he is more powerful.

I find it highly disturbing that a supposed ‘woman of God’ like yourself can support and teach and encourage such blatant occult New Age teachings. I would honestly love to know how you came to the conclusion that this is Godly and where in the Word of God does God tell us to do any of this and where in the Word of God does God encourage us to ’move outside of our minds’ when He CLEARLY tells us to remain IN CONTROL at all times? I wont even mention the fact that studying the Word of God is imperative lest we be led astray with false teachings like this – yet your pal Caleb says, ‘It’s no longer that you have to study the Word’ because ’we’ tell you what to think. I could quote tons of scripture to support that this is NOT of God. But seeing that you are a minister, one would assume you know all these verses already.

This is just rediculous. This is pseudo-christian new age mumbo jumbo that unfortunately too many people are buying. But apparently Peter Wagner and his ilk have been spewing the same thing for years:

However, the first gate we must go through is Heaven’s Gate! This is where we enter boldly into the Throne Room and receive super-abounding grace so we can leap through the place of the “new” in the earth! Consequently, on we will be convening a gathering in Dearborn to open the gate of change to realign the nations. Speakers include Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce, Barbara Yoder, Pat Francis, and Cindy Jacobs.”
First of all, does anyone even ask the obivious question “what are they even talking about?” Realign the nations??? Align must be Peter Wagner’s favorite word…. I mean that’s what he did to Todd Bentley when he commissioned him. But Bentley has boasted that there was an open portal over Lakeland. He even talked about building a permanent building to house the “revival”.
This is a quote from the Lakeland “revival” web site:
Lakeland is an epicenter… There is a portal that is open and it will never close! Lakeland is called as a “hub” It is meant to connect all over the world to those that are hungry. Revival“hubs” … fires burning continuously all over the earth! God is pouring out in this hour is the wine and only those regions that have the wineskin… and apostolic wineskin… that God is going to begin to move on revival “hubs”. Guess it never happened because now he’s taking his show on the road. In total contradiction he now says: “Where once the revival hubs seemed to stay put, sometimes for years,—the Lord is telling us, “Move, walk the land, move the Ark of My Glory.”
And here’s an even stranger connection. L Ron Hubbard and his partner Jack Parsons attempted to open a portal in 1946 in Pasadena, California (where Todd Bentley is going to be this weekend to open gates and portals with Che Ahn) to release the woman Babylon, which is talked about in the book of Revelation.
“According to occult lore, the Portal (Alistar Crowley’s) was further enlarged by a Jet Propulsion Laboratory founder and rocket fuel scientist named Jack Parsons, and Scientology and Dianetics founder L. Ron Hubbard in 1946, facilitating – so it is said – a monumental paradigm shift in human consciousness. This Magickal working was called the Babylon Working, and like the Amalantrah Working (Crowley’s ritual) on which its ritual was patterned, it was based on ceremonial sex magick.
Together they “endeavoured to … incarnate a physical aspect of Babylon, the Scarlet Woman of the Book of Revelations (17:3-6). They believed that Babylon was the herald of the new Age of Horus, and that Revelations was the understandably negative interpretation by those of the dying Age of Osiris.”
The gist of it was that Parsons desired to take the spirit of Babylon, the “Whore of Babylon,” and invest it in a human being. The idea was to create a child in the spiritual world, and then call down the spiritual baby and direct it into a human womb. When born, this child would incarnate the forces of Babylon, which they considered to be a good thing.
In any event, the rites were duly performed as written from January 4th to 15th of that year. It is not known if a spiritual child was enwombed from them. What is known is that the Magickal Portal first created by Crowley, and which originally let Lam into the earth-world, was reestablished with considerable intensity by Parsons and Hubbard. From the diaries of the participants, it is also clear that they were not as adept as Crowley in the closings of portals. What they seemed to have accomplished was the drastic enlargement and ripping of an existing Magickal Portal and the subsequent non-closure of it. Perhaps the rip they created was not possible to close. In any event, the modern UFO era began exactly a year and a half later on June 24th, 1947, with Kenneth Arnold’s sighting over the Cascade Mountains in Washington State.”

One has to beg the question, who and what are the entities that Bob Jones, Todd Bentley and now Peter Wagner are trying to bring into the earth realm through their open gates and portals? If Todd Bentley’s “angels” are not of God, then who are they? Can anyone say Genesis 6??

An ICA ‘APOSTLE’ SPEAKS OUT on LAKELAND

First, let me start by saying that Robert Ricciardelli has been
incredibly bold and courageous in speaking out on this issue in
recent days. He is one of the very few from NAR circles who have
dared to speak up – firstly on blogs and on the radio – and even on
our own Forum at RevivalSchool.com, etc. Robert is a member -
a “marketplace apostle” in Peter Wagner’s “International Coalition
of Apostles” (ICA). He is the real deal. For him to speak out
about Lakeland is a very brave act indeed. Plus he is a Charisma
Magazine writer and a friend of Lee Grady.
Last week on July 14th Robert was a guest on Radio KGNW -
where he spoke of how he had just come back from Lakeland, and
told of his deep concerns and the background research that he
had been doing. On July 16th he commented on one Internet blog:
“Truth is there are very few people being healed in Lakeland. I
have worked with Charisma Magazine editor Lee Grady in
discovering how many false reports have been released as facts.
These are our brothers and sisters involved in this, but this move
of God has been a move of men with God still touching some
who come to seek Him.”
On another blog he wrote: “Charisma reporters and a few others
like myself have tried to get these verified and cannot… We actually
had offered to help, because any news of a resurrection in my
opinion is world news if it can be validated. But then when the
totals continued to mount which led to hype and embellishment,
they began to ask us to stop asking questions. Hmmmm?
“Friday night, Todd said that God said there were 1000 people that
were to give $1000, and they were to receive a 1000 fold blessing.
The one hour drama on this giving subject was so deceptively
evident that it was embarrasing to watch. On top of that, those
that would give that money were able to come to the platform to
be recognized.”
Concerning the ‘Resurrections’ in Lakeland, Robert wrote: “We
have investigated the 20 plus “raised from the dead” claims as we
want to report them to the media, and they cannot be verified, but
were only called in, or sent in from an email. This is not responsible
reporting, and leaves many questions, which also adds to the

The hour-long broadcast that Robert did on KGNW is also causing
quite a stir as it does the rounds on the Internet.
On our own Forum at RevivalSchool.com, Robert publicly added
the following comments:
“Peter Wagner and Chuck Pierce nominated me as a marketplace
apostle 6 years ago. I threw the title away before I ever got it. I am
not into titles, but I am into functions. The Lord told us “yes” to
engage, and He was going to show us some truth in the process.
Being engaged has given us a great oportunity to see the good,
the bad, and the ugly of the apostolic/prophetic movements. The
biggest thing along the way is the friends and associates we have
met that have a biblical worldview much the same as we do…
“After this year we will pray about next year and so far it looks
like the Father is giving us a sense that we may not to be a part
of the ICA if Peter and the leadership do not reconsider their
impromptu decision to jump into the Lakeland stream, when many
of us warned him not to. It was a mistake to coronate, when they
needed to father and correct Bentley from the direction he is
heading others into. It just put more fuel in his errant tank.
“I am praying for Todd, because he really is an evangelist, and he
is a gifted evangelist. But he cannot go on embellishing, speaking
untruths, hyping, manipulating, shoving, kicking, slapping, leg
dropping, and bamming his way on the pulpit without consequences.
God will not be mocked, and Todd and others must answer to Him
for everyone led astray.
“The biggest thing about Lakeland is the lack of the fear of our
Awesome God, lack of repentance and humility. Many have
exchanged the truth for a lie and chosen experience over content.
Angels, trances, and 3rd heaven focus has replaced the gospel
as a focus… Lord do what only you can do to bring your divine
alignment to all of us in Jesus name..” [-end quote]
I took note of the fact that Robert said that “many” had warned
Peter Wagner not to jump into the Lakeland stream. I also noted
that Robert seemed to be saying that he himself may leave the
ICA over this issue. I thanked him publicly for his courage in
speaking out, and asked him if there really was a lot of disagree-
ment even within Wagner’s own movement?
Robert replied:
“To answer your question, yes there is at least a dozen ICA
members that I know of that are extremely concerned at Peter’s
endorsement and more to follow as the nonsense continues. The
transferring of anointing, the focus on man bringing anything but
the gospel is amazing and sad…. if Peter Wagner, Bill Johnson,
and some distinguished members of the Who’s Who in Charismania
say it is all good, then people just go with it. Some have begun to
see the YouTube and other information and begun to change.
Some go as far as to claim it as deception, others say it is a
move of God that needs correction.
“It is my opinion that it was man orchestrated and demonically
influenced from the very beginning. The worship has been good
and Roy Fields is an awesome worship leader, so many in the
worship and even watching from afar can sense God in the worship
of His people. The truth is God has been engaged in the worship
and has touched and healed some. This is why it has been so
confusing to some. I have heard that Roy Fields has stated a few
times that when the worship ends, God’s presence leaves the
platform, and then Todd Bentley operates void of His presence.
That is why most all of what they have claimed cannot be verified,
because it just is not happening.
“We have heard a few people getting well, being touched and so
on. There is a church here in North Carolina that brought 27 sick
down there for a week. Some with cancer, leukemia, diabetes
and such. None got healed and most were worse when they
came back. The emperor is not wearing any clothes and the truth
must be known. Many are claiming that Todd is the new thing
that God is doing. The fact is he is still operating in the old thing,
and operating with less integrity and character than the previous
one man shows.
“God is about nameless and faceless people who are operating
without any agenda but the Lord’s. Preaching about the King
and His Kingdom, and moving supernaturally after Him, and as
they do, signs and wonders follow. The problem in Charismania
is that they seek the sign, they seek the thrill, they seek the
craft supply quality gold dust, feathers and gems. They may get
the chills and frills, but leave with nothing more than goose bumps
and really little spiritual change. When they seek the King, the
Kingdom of God and His righteousness, you begin to see
transformation take place at the heart level. This is God’s way
and always has been… Bentley is just a product of the Charismatic/
apostolic/ prophetic trending away from Plumb line truth. At the
same time the fact is, none of us amount to much, no not one.
But in Him and dying to self and living His agenda, we can move
mountains… The church is getting there, I wrote an article for
Charisma that everything that can be shaken is being shaken,
and this is what is happening in a great way right now…” [end quote]
Friends, please write to Robert encouraging him if you can for
the courageous stand he is taking.

The 13th “Dead Person” to be raised from the dead…
Todd Bentley reads an unverified e-mail and excitedly proclaims the “thirteenth resurrection from the dead” which, according to Bentley, took place at a funeral home. While reading the e-mail, Bentley says a family requested that the God TV/Florida revival be aired during an “all-night wake” for a dead man resting in a casket. Amidst the cheers and applause from his revival audience, Bentley states: “At the funeral they played the revival, and we declared that our brother would not be embalmed. At 2:19 AM, my brother began to stir in his coffin! In his coffin!” Christian Research NewsQuestion: Don’t you think we see this person on “Good Morning America”, Fox News and CNN?”
Todd Bentley is constantly being told that he has a William Branham anointing.

For those who do not know William Branham was a healing evangelist who couldn’t heal until his angel appeared in his meetings.“Bentley is well read up on Branham- he describes how he conducted his services in detail in his article ‘Living in the Supernatural”May 25, 2003. “When people would come on the platform to receive healing and Branham entered that realm, he would go into visions and tell everyone many details of their life. He did this only as a sign that the Lord would heal them. People would wait in healing lines for hours. They would have to get a card with a number to get into the healing line to even get prayer. He would wait for an angel to come and stand behind him on his left side. He would do nothing until the angel arrived.”
From the beginning Branham had unusual manifestations which he attributed to his angel. “The power invested me by my commission given by Almighty God and ministered to me by an Angel, a Pillar of Light“ (The Revelation of the Seven Seals p.112-113). Branham admits the angel is a pillar of light (this will become important as we look at Todd Bentleys experiences with angels and light).The angel that William Branham had was actually a powerful angel of light- a demonic entity that masqueraded as the angel of the Lord and the Holy Spirit of God. This entity appeared throughout Branham’s life from early childhood and eventually led him into all kinds of “serious error.” It is crucial to understand what Bentley is claiming, by renewing the call of William Branham. Bentley’s acknowledgement of his angel as Branham’s angel via Bob Jones (notwithstanding the many other angels that constantly visit him) puts his imprimatur on Branham being used of God. This is not that unusual, many charismatics endorse Branham, the difference is that he is saying this angel is an influence or power in his ministry.”(19)
Todd Bentley was also told by Che Ahn at an earlier meeting that he had a ‘double portion’ of Branham’s anointing:(Note Che Ahn falling toward the end of the video and manifesting the Kundalini spirit.)
Rick Joyner and the Knights of Malta Connection
It is of great significance that Rick Joyner was one of the men presiding over this meeting.Several years ago Rick Joyner was initiated into the Knights of Malta, the Order of Saint John.This is a known fact and Rick has even spoken about it and made an audio tape explaining it and defended it in his 1998 Morning Star Journal.
Rick Joyner and many of the other prophets and apostles from C. Peter Wagner’s New Apostolic Reformation are calling for unity with Rome.
What are the Knights of Malta
The Order of Malta is a lay, religious order of the Catholic Church. It is a Hospitaller order, founded in Jerusalem during the eleventh century. Members of the Order seek to glorify God through his or her work with the sick and the poor and witness of the Catholic faith. (20)
Sherry Shriner writes in her article: “Rick Joyner, Knighted By The Knights Of Malta”
“The primary organization, called the Knights of Malta, has its headquarters in the Vatican of Rome and is clearly controlled and operated by the Catholic church. Their official website gives their name as the “Sovereign Military Order Of Malta.” They state of themselves that this “is a lay religious order of the Catholic church.” It was founded in Jerusalem in 1099 and it was approved formally as an order by the Pope in 1113. They also say of themselves, “The Order of Malta was admitted to the United Nations as a permanent observer on August 24, 1994.” They also claim “official diplomatic relations with over eighty states and international organizations.” The Order of Malta is clearly a Catholic order, controlled by the Pope and totally committed to the Pope, the Virgin Mary, and service to Roman Catholic ideas and causes. It is a powerful and massive organization.” (21)
The History of the Knights of Malta
“Blessed Gerard originally founded “The Hospice of St. John of Jerusalem” prior to the 1st Crusade to care for sick and poor pilgrims in Jerusalem. In 1120, after Pope Urban II issued a Bulla recognizing the Hospice as a military religious order, the Order became “The Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem”. Its members became known as “Knights of St. John”, “Knights of the Hospital” or simply “Knights Hospitallers”. Later, after the capture of Rhodes, the Order’s name became “The Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem and of Rhodes”. The knights of that period were known as “The Knights of Rhodes”, as well as by their previous names. After the loss of Rhodes, the Order came into possession of the Island of Malta. The Order’s name then became “The Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta”. After the loss of Malta the name of the Order became “The Sovereign Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta”. Since that time, the members have since been referred to most commonly as “The Knights of Malta”, however, they may still be referred to as “Knights of St. John”, “Knights of the Hospital” or “Knights Hospitaller”. The Order is now typically referred to as “The Sovereign Military Order of Malta”, “The Order of Malta”, or the “SMOM”. . . (22)
The following quote is from: An Encyclopedia of Freemasonry and Its Kindred Sciences,” etc. by Albert G. Mackey, M.D., Thirty-Third Degree, Volume I, published by the Masonic History Company, Chicago, New York, & London, 1925, Volume One, pp. 392-95:
“This Order, which at various times in the progress of its history received the names of Knights Hospitalers, Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights of Rhodes, and lastly, Knights of Malta, was one of the most important of the religious and military orders of knighthood which sprang into existence during the Crusades which were instituted for the recovery of the Holy Land. It owes its origin to the Hospitalers of Jerusalem, that wholly religious and charitable Order which was established at Jerusalem, in 1048, by pious merchants of Amalfi for the succor of poor and distressed Latin pilgrims…. “…There are now two bodies-one Catholic and the other Protestant, but each repudiates the other….
“The degree of Knight of Malta is conferred in the United States as “an appendant Order” in a Commandery of Knights Templar. There is a ritual attached to the degree, but very few are in possession of it, and it is generally communicated after the candidate has been created a Knights Templar….” The Knights of Malta are the militia of the Pope, and are sworn to total obedience by a blood oath which is taken extremely seriously and to the death.The Pope as the head of the Vatican is also the head of a foreign national power.
As a member of the Knights of Malta, and by virtue of your blood oath of obedience to the Pope, you are required to support to the death the desires of the head of the Order of the Knights of Malta-in this case, Pope Benedict XVI -over and above any other allegiance you may feel or pretend to feel toward any other loyalty-such as a loyalty to the Constitution for the united States of America.
Those who are presently members of the Knights of Malta must on penalty of death support those policies advocated by the Vatican. It is not hard for them to do this. They BELIEVE in these policies and principles. The polices which are espoused and proclaimed by the office of the Pope are as follows:
1. End of sovereignty for the United States and other countries.
2. End of absolute property rights.
3. End of all gun rights.
4. The new international economic Order (world government).
5. The redistribution of wealth and jobs.
6. Calls for nations to trust the United Nations.
7. Total disarmament.
8. Promote the United Nations as the hope for peace.
9. Promote UNESCO, the deadly educational and cultural arm of the United Nations.
10. Promote interdependence.
11. Support sanctions honoring Father Pierre Teilhard de Chardin-the New Age Humanist Priest.
12. Support the belief that the economic principle of traditional Christian or Catholic social doctrine is the economic principle of communism.
13. Promote the Pope as the acting go-between for the United States and the Soviet Union.
It doesn’t really matter what kind of religious or political affiliation a member professes, when they take an oath as a Knight they are obligated by that blood oath of obedience to follow the political lead of the Vatican and will do so to their dying breath-as all good Knights of Malta do. Their first loyalty is to the Vatican, anything else is secondary.Each and every member is under complete and total obedience to the Vatican’s political ambitions. (23) The Order of Malta has ambassadors or diplomatic representatives in more than eighty nations, and enjoys Permanent Observer status at the United Nations General Assembly.” (24)
It is a known fact that Rick Joyner is very focused on warfare and the Knights of the Roundtable.Here is a quote from Joyner:
“Like the nation of Israel, the Order of St John the Baptist seems to
have been uniquely preserved to play a part in the final battle between light and darkness. The church, and even Western civilization, is no less in jeopardy today than it was in the time of Suleiman. Conflicts within the church have weakened her to the point that she is more vulnerable to the enemy than ever. Even so, the Lord is not constrained to deliver by many or by few. He still has
those who are true noblemen, who are establishing noble families throughout the earth. They are bound together by a common faith that transcends denominational differences. They, too, have vowed not to retreat before the enemies of the cross, nor yield a single acre of
ground to the enemy of our faith.
The Lord is again calling together true knights of the Spirit. They will stand unified in spite of all the petty divisions and spiritual wars that go on around them. They know who the real enemy is, and they, too, will stand without wavering against the greatest darkness of their times, and they will push the darkness back. Some of these are in the modern Order of St John. Some of them may be in your church. One of them may even be you.” (pg 58, end of author’s text)

The Significance of the Date of Todd Bentley’s commissioning:
What is significant about the date and Rick Joyner being one of the presiding “apostles” at Todd Bentley’s commissioning is that June 23 is the eve of the Feast Day of Saint John, the Knights of Malta’s feast day!
The Sovereign Military Order of Malta observes as its feast day Saint John’s Day, June 24th. (26)It is not insignificant to note that Saint John’s Day is on the same date as Midsummer’s Day, the pagan holiday of Litha.It is a time when pagans worshipped the sun god through the summer solstice.
“Midsummer may simply refer to the period of time centered upon the summer solstice, but more often refers to specific European celebrations that accompany the actual solstice, or that take place on the 24th of June and the preceding evening. European midsummer-related holidays, traditions, and celebrations are pre-Christian in origin and have been superficially Christianised as celebrations of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist as “Saint John’s Eve” festivals.” (27)
“Midsummer fires served as sun charms to keep up the heat. Midsummer Eve, however, afterwards nominated as John the Baptist’s Eve, was a great fire-day far and wide. Von Buch, the traveller, speaks of seeing custom observed within the Arctic Circle.
An old writer about Ireland remarked–”A stranger would imagine the whole country was on fire.” Brand writes of the Vigil of St. John–”They make bonfires, run along the streets and fields with wisps of straw blazing on long poles, to purify the air which they think infectious by believing all the devils, spirits, ghosts, and hobgoblins abroad this night to hurt mankind.” One, writing in 1867 said–”The old pagan fire-worship still survives in Ireland though nominally in honour of St. John. On Sunday night bonfires were observed throughout nearly every county the province of Leinster.”As Easter Day was of old devoted to Astarte, the East goddess, so was St. John’s Day to Baal.” (28)
The Feast of the Nativity of St. John is set down in the Papal calendar for the 24th of June, or Midsummer-day. The very same period was equally memorable in the Babylonian calendar as that of one of its most celebrated festivals. It was at Midsummer, or the summer solstice, that the month called in Chaldea, Syria, and Phoenicia by the name of “Tammuz” began; and on the first day–that is, on or about the 24th of June–one of the grand original festivals of Tammuz was celebrated.
For different reasons, in different countries, other periods had been devoted to commemorate the death and reviving of the Babylonian god; but this, as may be inferred from the name of the month, appears to have been the real time when his festival was primitively observed in the land where idolatry had its birth. And so strong was the hold that this festival, with its peculiar rites, had taken of the minds of men, that even when other days were devoted to the great events connected with the Babylonian Messiah, as was the case in some parts of our own land, this sacred season could not be allowed to pass without the due observance of some, at least, of its peculiar rites. When the Papacy sent its emissaries over Europe, towards the end of the sixth century, to gather in the Pagans into its fold, this festival was found in high favour in many countries. What was to be done with it? Were they to wage war with it? No. This would have been contrary to the famous advice of Pope Gregory I, that, by all means they should meet the Pagans half-way, and so bring them into the Roman Church. The Gregorian policy was carefully observed; and so Midsummer-day, that had been hallowed by Paganism to the worship of Tammuz, was incorporated as a sacred Christian festival in the Roman calendar.
But still a question was to be determined, What was to be the name of this Pagan festival, when it was baptised, and admitted into the ritual of Roman Christianity? To call it by its old name of Bel or Tammuz, at the early period when it seems to have been adopted, would have been too bold. To call it by the name of Christ was difficult, inasmuch as there was nothing special in His history at that period to commemorate. But the subtlety of the agents of the Mystery of Iniquity was not to be baffled. If the name of Christ could not be conveniently tacked to it, what should hinder its being called by the name of His forerunner, John the Baptist? John the Baptist was born six months before our Lord. When, therefore, the Pagan festival of the winter solstice had once been consecrated as the birthday of the Saviour, it followed, as a matter of course, that if His forerunner was to have a festival at all, his festival must be at this very season; for between the 24th of June and the 25th of December–that is, between the summer and the winter solstice–there are just six months. Now, for the purposes of the Papacy, nothing could be more opportune than this. One of the many sacred names by which Tammuz or Nimrod was called, when he reappeared in the Mysteries, after being slain, was Oannes. (29)
In other words this particular day, June 23, the beginning of Saint John’s Day and Midsummer Day is an ancient pagan celebration to the god Baal or Tammuz and it is marked by FIRE.Is it a coincidence that Todd Bentley is always talking about the Fire, and that his ministry is called Fresh Fire?
Here’s an early 20th Century NY Times article on the pagan significance of St. John’s Day (June 24).Here are just some quotes that highlight fire worship.
“How many and varied have been the forms of what we may term degenerate fire worship, or, rather fire worship ceremonial and superstitious rites engrafted on Christianity?….It appears to me to be simply a survival of the worship of Baal which was the universal fatih of our fathers–a remnant of that great fire worship which prevailed over the whole world, as known to the ancients….” (30)
Here is Todd Calling for a spirit of fire and a spirit of burning.Unfortunately for him he is calling for the judgment of God. Isa 4:4 -The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.
Mt 3:12 -His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Mt 13:40 -“As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.
1Co 3:13 -his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work.
Heb 10:27 -but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Another interesting occurrence happened on this same date in 1947:
“The modern UFO era and the birth of the extraterrestrial hypothesis began on June 24,1947, when Kenneth Arnold, flying his private plane near Mount Rainier in Washington, reported nine disk-shaped objects flying in formation at speeds he estimated to be over 1,000 miles per hour” (31)
Is this all a coincidence?If so then there seems to be unseen hands arranging these circumstances and causing these men to speak certain phrases on an occult holiday.
“That Moses would no longer be considered the high-water mark where the glory shone from his face, but instead the revelation of the goodness of God would change the face of the Church. And that He would use your voice, He would use your grace, your anointing to alter the face of the Church before this world. That the goodness of the Lord would be seen once again.”
I’d like to know where the glory of God is showing here in this outpouring?When Todd is talking about his angels, or when he kicks cancer patients in the stomach? Yes, his anointing is altering the face of the church before the world all right.

Because the business men will rise up and they will go forth under this anointing and no more will they stay hidden in the shadows but they shall go forth into the political world, into the business world, into the military world, and great changes shall take place saith the Lord. Because this night is the night when you started out speaking your first words about the Kingdom of God. “
Note what was said to Todd: “This day YOU have loosened upon this earth what I have wanted to come forth” Todd loosened it, not Jesus?? “A kingly anointing that will bring in MONEY, MONEY, MONEY”! Yes, I’m sure this made some people very happy, but I don’t think the Lord Jesus desired this to be loosed upon the earth! Money is part of the fallen world, not the Kingdom of God!
“According to Todd Bentley, you don’t get the anointing from the Holy Spirit unless you donate money. Here are his own words as relayed by Tampa.com to convict him:”Get out your credit cards, he said. Write a check. Click on the blue button on the Web site. You reap what you sow,” he said. “Generosity and the anointing go hand in hand.” (15) This sounds like a false gospel of greed.I recently read an article that stated that ATM machines (16) were installed in the building where the revival meetings were being held.I guess this makes it convenient for the money, money, money to come in! Yay, saith god, and you are pulling the church into the realm of glory. Behind you is a great ship that is laden with healing and deliverance and prosperity. Does this woman actually think that Todd has been equipped with cutting power to cut through the traditions of men?Are those the traditions of worshipping Jesus and preaching his word and acting in humility and love?Notice that after she says:“No longer, no longer, no longer will men call unclean what I have called clean.”That the crowd cheers for several minutes and Todd does his shaking routine.This time it looks fake.When will people realize that it’s not Todd’s looks that are unclean, but the spirits that are manifesting in these meetings?

“Todd, your ministry is very appropriately named Fresh Fire, and uh, you’ve certainly been bringing fresh fire. And even when you were going through the dark night of the soul I thought you had more fire on you than … than uh … many I’ll just say. But uh, you know the worst state we could ever fall into is lukewarmness, and god has sent you as an antidote for that lukewarm spirit. And the fire is been birthed here, it’s been released here, you’ve unstopped a well, you have other wells to unstop, and other cities and other places. This is just the beginning. And there is longevity, too. There is increase, but there is also longevity coming. There are many wells but there are also oil wells and they catch on fire when you unstop them. “
There are many references to the Fire of God in the Bible, but all of them refer to judgment.The fire that Todd is releasing is from the release of the Kundalini.
It is believed by new agers that the kundalini and the Holy Spirit are one and the same:
“Although Christian dogmatists might protest the equation, it seems evident that the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) and the Kundalini are one in the same. The Holy Ghost, like Kundalini, is symbolically represented by a flame. (Many of the Christian saints who were not familiar with the Eastern concept of Kundalini suffered from mysterious illnesses in which they claimed to be “burning” with the spirit of God within them. “Long rumored to be among the most rare of human experiences, in the past several decades, the incidence of reported Kundalini awakening has been on the increase worldwide. Kundalini awakening manifests on multiple levels. “Brought up through the body, this power promotes healing and longevity,” writes transpersonal psychologist Ralph Metzner; …… The radical restructuring of the psyche catalyzed by Kundalini leads to a state which Metzner says “has been variously referred to as mystical experience, ecstasy, cosmic consciousness, oceanic feeling, oneness, transcendence, union with God, nirvana, satori, liberation, peak experience, and by other names.”
A Kundalini awakening is celebrated as an extraordinary gift for healing and growth, but the early stages (which can last for months or years) can be exceedingly difficult. …..The influx of high vibrational energy throughout the system produces an array of physical symptoms and strange sensations. .The Kundalini process repeatedly cycles through the stages of the mystic path outlined by Evelyn Underhill: (1) awakening or conversion to divine reality; (2) purgation and purification; (3) illumination, visions, ecstatic states; (4) death, “the dark night of the soul”; and (5) union with the divine.(Note Rick Joyner’s mention of the ‘dark night of the soul’ in his word to Todd Bentley)
Although the Sanskrit word “Kundalini” originated in India, this dramatically regenerative process has been recorded in nearly every culture and religion in the world. The transformational energy the yogis call “shakti” (the risen Kundalini) is alternately known in other traditions as Holy Wind, Serpent Fire, Vital Winds, Seiki (mystical Japanese), mana loa (Hawaiian Kahunan), ….. These metaphoric names describe the tremendous rushing, burning, spiralling and wavelike physical sensations of the aroused spiritual energy. When the Kundalini rises, these sensations may be subtle and pleasurable, or they make strike with unexpected gale force, literally thrashing the body around like an internalized hurricane. And Kundalini is renowned for setting the body ablaze with incandescent inner heat.”
People who have never experienced Kundalini tend to think these descriptive metaphors imply something abstract. A man once posed the question to an Internet Kundalini list: “How does the Kundalini heat manifest itself?” The answers came back: “As HEAT. It feels HOT!”
Kundalini has been called the lifeforce (see info on “life force” in part 1) — the vital, animating current within all creation. The energy of Kundalini has been used everywhere in the world for healing and accessing spiritual experience. The Greek philosopher, mathematician and physician Pythagorus knew it as pneuma, which, according to metaphysical researcher Mary Coddington, “came from a central fire in the universe and provided man not only with his vitality, but his immortal soul.” The Turkish genius and founder of neurology Galen, born in 129 A.D., also spoke of pneuma. “These Kundalini spirits and other spirits of eastern religions have sought to enter many revivals. In some cases the discernment of the leaders saved them. Jessie Penn-Lewis gives a report of this spirit in the Wales revival:
“The counterfeit of the Presence of God is mainly felt upon the body, and by the physical senses, in conscious ‘fire,’ ‘thrills,’ etc. The counterfeit of the ‘Presence’ in the atmosphere is felt by the senses of the body, as ‘breath,’ ‘wind,’ etc., whilst the mind is passive or inactive. The person affected by this counterfeit will be moved almost automatically to actions he would not perform of his own will, and with all his faculties in operation.
